When you win the league title, you generally become favourites to be champions in the following campaign, and that is exactly the case for Arsenal this season, as the Gunners look to ensure they win the title again.
Everyone expects Arsenal to be the best team in the league, and there is significant hype surrounding them, particularly because of the way they defend during matches to secure victories and valuable points. Their defensive strength has become one of the main reasons they are regarded as serious contenders.
The Gunners have one of the strongest squads in the league, and they continue to impress whenever they play in every competition. Their consistency has given supporters plenty of reasons to expect success, but the attention surrounding them could also create an additional challenge as the campaign progresses.
Arsenal Must Handle the Pressure
The expectations placed on Arsenal could ultimately make it harder for them to win the league title. With so much focus on their performances, every result and decision involving the team is likely to attract considerable attention, increasing the pressure on the players to deliver whenever they take to the pitch.
While most people focus on Arsenal, Manchester City are having a good season and are benefiting from the attention being directed towards the Gunners during this campaign. At the weekend, City scored a contentious goal against Manchester United, but the incident did not attract as much attention as it might have done had Arsenal been involved.
This situation could prove beneficial for City, and it may not be the last time a decision works in their favour. Such moments could become important when the campaign reaches its conclusion, particularly if the title race remains closely contested.

Manchester City Could Challenge Arsenal
City have a new manager and are not under the same level of pressure as Arsenal, which could work to their advantage. They can continue to focus on collecting results while Arsenal deal with the expectations that come with being the favourites to retain the league title.
However, this is also the opportunity for the Gunners to demonstrate that they can produce results when all eyes are on them. If Arsenal can manage the pressure and maintain their performances, they will strengthen their position, but City could take advantage if the Gunners falter.
You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans. Everyone is allowed to hold their own opinions even if you disagree with them. It COSTS NOTHING TO BE POLITE TO OTHER ARSENAL FANS.

I don’t know.
City have looked quite good so far. Not all eyes are on Arsenal
But even if they do, I don’t think it makes much difference.
Our players and MA just need to focus their attention on the next match, then the next match etc.
Disgusting finish, one of the absolute worst VAR decisions I have seen. Anyone that knows the rules knows Enzo was interfering with Martinez from Utd.
The fact that “Pro Ref” (formally PGMOL) issued an apology only makes it worse. They should fire the VAR official for such an obvious wrong call.
I hope to see VAR mocked and ridiculed yet again, and hopefully the beginning of the end for this joke. The sheer number of missed calls and apologies is baffling; Wolves were harshed twice, Arsenal with Konza, and now Utd against City.
Time to put VAR down for good imo.
Durand,
For me there is nothing wrong with VAR, it’s the incompetents that use it that are the problem. And their apologist of a man named Howard Webb isn’t much help either.
I concur
Funny I was just thinking the same thing last night. Everyone is talking about Arsenal, and various people floated Chelsea, Liverpool, and someone even suggested Man Utd (🤣) as the most likely title contenders, but the table shows a familiar picture in terms of who Arsenal really need to worry about.
