Owen annoys Arsenal fans – As if we need it!

The former Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes people give too much credit to Arsenal, whose Champions League dreams were left in tatters after defeat to AS Monaco.

Goals from Geoffrey Kondogbia, Dimitar Berbatov and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco resulted in an astonishing 3-1 home defeat for the Gunners, who scored through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Arsene Wenger’s team is now staring at another exit from the Champions League Round of 16, as they must score three without reply in the second-leg.

Owen wrote on Sportlobster.com: “Arsenal played poor on the night, but the only people surprised are those who continue to believe they are better than they are.

“Saying this, I would take Arsenal to beat Monaco more often than not.”

Despite Manchester City and Arsenal suffering defeat in their respective first-legs this week, Owen dismissed claims of the Premier League falling behind other European leagues.

He added: “I fail to get carried away by two results.

“There is too much rubbish written about the Premier League being inferior to other European leagues.”

As if you would even want to read what this twat says at all! When he sees Arsenal easily destroy Monacon in France in a couple of weeks he will change his tune quicker than a violin with dodgy strings!

  1. Players that are not good enough should be released in the summer

Diaby, Ryo, Ozil, Giroud, Monreal, Gibbs, Ospina, Sheez, Kos, Per, Arteta, Flamini, Wilshere, , Ox…

Players that should go on Loan

Akromp, Sanago, Bellerin, Chambers, Gnabry, Zalemlem, Crowley

    Manager sacked

    Wenger

  2. Someone remind the squeak the season after he left his beloved Liverpool they won the European Cup.Now that’s what I call timing.
P’s.He reminds me of a school sneak, the little shit.

  3. What Owens does represents what most of the media do…

Arsenal lose and they yank our chain and we take the bait everytime.

Liverpool loses, media and supporters rally around the club taking away the positives (now they can focus on the BPL and FA cup).

We as fans let this happen. Imagine Arsenal lost to Besiktas in Europa? Owen , Carra and the lot would have a field day.

  4. Im still sad and disappointed after yesterdays, 3-1 lost to monaco! At work today even being laugh at and jeered by man u, chelsea and man city supporters! It was hard to ignore them, really was but as hard as it im still a proud ” gooner” in pain but proud! Nevertheless Looking for us to bounce back against everton at the weekend and 3 points! Got to be positive despite the pain! Coyg!

  5. Arsenal celebrated the draw with Monaco as if they are going to walk all over them. And when you celebrate a draw as if it was easy and when you lose to the same team on your own turf, you are bound to get mocked and laughed at.

Arsenal manager, players and fans said the reason for the club not progressing further in CL is the difficult draws they used to get. And they let everybody believe that it is easy and Arsenal will win.And everybody thought Arsenal will win by big margin.

Even there is article on this site that said Arsenal will score many goals.Fans predicted 5-0 or 4-0.

So imagine the surprise and excitement of the media and other club fans when Arsenal loses 1-3, at Emirates to a team that lost half if their players to injury.

So yeah its is understandable and expected what Arsenal is getting from the media.Because what happened on Wednesday waa embarrassment both for Arsenal and epl.

  6. What I hate in most of our fans on this site is the rejection voice or tone whenever our team loses.
After a loss, you will see pronoun such as: “they” played poorly.
After a good win like that if City:
    “We” hammered them.

Even if 8-2 defeat is repeated by Man U, I will be bittered and have a long night.
BUT my blood is Red & White if you understand metonym.

  7. idiotic fans should show same kind of support in the stadium and not sit quietly and tensed in fear of a loss
