Predicted Everton line up to face Arsenal on Sunday

Everton fans are confident that their team will get a result against us on Sunday, they look to their last two wins, at home to Chelsea and away at West Ham to point to a change in their fortunes as well as to our away form.

There is an issue with Jordan Pickford and his off field antics but he should keep his place in the team and it will not affect his game, he is too experienced for that.

Other than the Pickford issue it is predicted that they will put out the same team that beat the Hammers 2-0.

Pickford
Coleman
Keane
Zouma
Digne
Gueye
Gomes
Sigurdsson
Bernard
Richarlison
Calvert-Lewin

On paper that is quite a strong team and it is easy to understand where the Everton fans confidence is coming from, they have had two great wins and our away form is suspect but let’s be honest, they are not a top-six team and as long as we play the way we have been doing at home we stand a great chance of scoring a win.

But we cannot afford to be complacent, we have to respect Everton. They put Chelsea in their place and not many teams have gone to West Ham and won in comfort.

They are clearly on a roll and the fans will be their usual passionate selves and we will have to quieten them down as soon as possible.

  1. .Everyone are a very open team in the sense that they love to attack although on rare occasions they defend too and are very good at it. I think Emery will be very cautious in his approach so I see Ozil sitting this one out. He might come off the bench but it’s highly unlikely. Ramsey and Mkhi and whoever starts as the striker will need to be efficient in front of goal. Chelsea couldn’t find the net in the first half and paid dearly for it in the second. I hope we win as I really can’t wait to see us in the champions league again.

    1. I also predict Ramsey, Mkhitaryan and Iwobi would start ahead of Ozil

Everton would most likely use 4-2-3-1 to win the midfield battle, hence Arsenal need hardworking players to compensate for the fewer midfielders (if Emery uses a three-CB formation)

A three-CB formation would be good to contain Richarlison, Bernard and Walcott, but Everton’s tall players are dangerous in corners

      1. Iwobi must NOT start and OZIL MUST START OZil has been playing well and for several gamea now. Iwobi is always a gamble at best and at worst a waste of space.

        1. Ozil is also a gamble especially in away games… Iwobi has been more instrumental to Arsenal this season n he is one of the reasons most of our attack come down d left wing.
I dnt understand the beef for Iwobi, he has been our best AM/winger this season.

          1. You are just blindly kidding yourself Pal.What exactly does he do?Score? Not very often.Create? When was the last assist.
As always with this donkey there is NEVER an end product. No guessing where your from a pal is there.

  2. If Arsenal use a three-CB formation and Everton use 4-2-3-1 like below:

    ………………..Pickford
    Coleman . Keane . Zouma . Digne
    ………Gomes …………. Gueye
    Richarlison ..Sigurdsson ..Bernard
    …………….Calvert-Lewin

Then Everton might dominate the ball possession, because they will have one extra midfielder. I hope Sokratis and Monreal help the midfielders by building the attack from the back and make unpredictable runs as usual

  3. I would start Ozil because Everton isn’t a top 6 team so it’s possible Ozil could be brilliant. If he isn’t good he can be subbed

    1. We are all wishing on who we prefer to start. At the end of the day I belief the coach in his usual way will pick who will best suite the opposition be it Alex or mesut it’s not the fans decision to make..Period

  4. As for me the three point is more important at this point in time than who starts and who doesn’t… looking forward to the match with much expectations
