Pundit reckons he knows when Unai Emery will be sacked

Pundit Stan Collymore predicts when he believes Unai Emery will be sacked.

Liverpool legend Stan Collymore has become the latest individual to discuss the future of Arsenal boss, Unai Emery.
The former Sevilla boss is in a race against time to save his job as his Arsenal side continues to struggle for positive results.

The club’s fans have already had enough of their manager and have been leading different campaigns to get him fired as their season continues to go from bad to worse.

Arsenal is winless in six games and their 2-2 home draw against Southampton at the weekend shows just how bad things have become at the Emirates as the Saints had recently been beaten 9-0 at home by Leicester City.

Collymore has now joined the conversation and predicts that Arsenal will fire Emery before the festive period games.

He told the Mirror: “In recent days Emery’s communication has been mocked, and that has been casual xenophobia with people taking the p*** out of his dialect and pronunciation.

“When that sets in he has lost it. There is no way he can turn it back.

“The answer is in the next two or three weeks, they will get a draw somewhere and the board will pull the trigger.”

It has been a disastrous start to the season for Emery, Arsenal have recorded just four wins in the league and are as close to the relegation zone as they are the top-four.

Emery’s minimum requirement for the season was finishing inside the top four, but that would be a tough goal to achieve now when you look at the form of the teams above them in the standings..

  1. As much as Unai has made a complete hash of things, I could never imagine him hiding in the bushes playing second fiddle!!!
UE has always come across a a genuine person, just out of his depth at our club and I wish him well when he leaves.
As for Stan the other man, we don’t need your advice, save it for talksport, they are welcome to it.

    1. Ken, Who are the “we” you refer to who “do not need Collymores advice?” If it is the fans who are “we”, then I agree with you that WE do not need his advice. BUT if it is the club who are “we” ,then they DO need it and urgently too, since he should have been sacked already and each day of delay just makes things worse. Wouldn’t you agree?

  2. He will be sacked when the Europa goes out of his hands because that’s the only short cut to champions league qualification.

  3. However many more days Emery is in charge it is too many. I wish him happiness and hope he recovers, but it’s time to go yesterday.

  4. Don’t believe any of the stories that come out from anyone on Talksport, they just say things that are controversial, the only way they can get people to listen….
