If Arsenal were to have a fully fit Aaron Ramsey, the question for me is would he even be a regular starter for the first team? If it was the central midfielder we saw giving his all and playing very well for his country Wales at Euro 2016 and earning himself a place in the team of the tournament then the answer would probably be yes.
And also if it was the goal scoring Rambo that found his shooting boots in the 2013-14 season, hitting the back of the net 16 times and firing the Gunners to the top of the table and leading a Premier League title challenge that looked like it would be successful until he picked up an injury on Boxing Day that ruled him out for most of the rest of the season.
Perhaps it is that Ramse4y that Arsene Wenger is thinking of as Metro reports the boss is very concerned about the continuing delay to the 25-year old’s return from his latest injury problem. The problem for me is that we rarely see that Ramsey in an Arsenal shirt and now we have Granit Xhaka and Santi Cazorla who I would pick before the Welshman.
You want two good players in every position and Arsenal appear to have two very good ones in that box-to-box role, so is it really such a worry that Ramsey is taking a long time to recover?

with Cazorla,Xhaka,Elneny all able to play in the single CM-role we dnt need Ramsey.
If the first eleven stayed injury free we wouldn’t need most of the squad, and if our house doesn’t get burgled we don’t need to get insurance, and if I don’t get a flat tire I won’t need a new spare etc. No-one can forsee how bad it might become, Cazorla and Xhaka out at the same time we would lose allot of creativity, Ramsey can assist and score esp if he has something to prove, if the time comes I say let him try and prove it. It’s good that we have a big squad.
Good hope the delay goes on , not a surprise at all since he’s been out arsenal have gone on a unbeaten run. His dilly dallying; sideways passing,attempted flicks days are surely coming to an end with xhaka, coq, santi way ahead of him.
Yes I know he’s a favourite so let’s hope iwobi firm doesn’t dip that’s the only player he can displace.

We have enough cover for Ramsey. We also have enough starters ahead of him..
Having said that, get well soon Ramsey….The squad depth looks good though.
We do not have cover for Oil. Ramsey is not the worst option in efl cup at later stages like quarter final. We need or not. It’s always better to have all your player fit. And as an arsenal fan you should know the injury record of arsenal. It doesn’t take much for Arsenal to have injury crisis. I hope it should not happen but if it does, then with a fit Ramsay is better than sending youngsters
Ramsey is a different kind of midfielder to those we have currently. i rate him highly, he is a box to box player but can play as a cover for Ozil and can give a better balance to the team than walcot when he plays in the left wing which is not either his preferred place nor his natural one. besides we all saw what he can do when he plays with freedom in the Euros. finally i want all our players to be fit and give the selection headache to the manager and we will benefit from the competition for place. get well soon Rambo!!

Hope Ramsey has a quick recovery
Even if he didn’t play CL and PL, he would still be useful in FA Cup and League Cup

What I don’t like is how Wenger uses him
A lot of you are forgetting that Wenger likes to play Ramsey on the right.

In fact Wenger played him ahead of Theo and Ox
Like in Ozil’s first couple of seasons Wenger played him on the Left a lot
Wenger needs to stop favouritism with certain players
In terms of CM- We have Xhaka, Cazorla, Coquelin, Eleney and Ramsey
I would say Ramsey should be behind Xhaka, Coquelin and Cazorla
I can appreciate why Wenger let Wilshere go on loan
Ramsey should focus on the right wing spot again this season. We’ve played very good football with a frontline of Alexis, Walcott/Giroud and Ramsey last year and I strongly believe that Wenger will look to do that again.
Its going to be hard to justify Ramsay playing ahead of many of the midfielders in contention for game time. Elneny can also do a outside right job too and seems quite versatile, but then again we are not Wenger and Ramsay is seen as one of his favorite sons.
It would be good to have him fit to add to the competition for places , in truth we do not have much injuries or what i should say injuries to major players, therefore if this situation remains in regarding to injuries we can have a fantastic season.
Right now i think the most important thing right now is to find the squad to cover the upcoming five games that will put us in a solid position, its going to be a headache selecting the squad over the season if we remain healthy, but good headache to have.
Ramsey hasn’t been badly missed so far but should he come back to fitness and form, the kind of form he showed us during the Euro’s then yes we should use him for our cause. No player should be untouchable as far as team selection goes and if they are not playing well then they should be left out, simples.
