Real Madrid and Barcelona looking at a move for Arsenal star

Real Madrid and Barcelona seriously considering making a move to snap up Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal’s recent struggles may not be the last problems they have this season as other top sides would look to poach their players.

The Gunners have some top-quality players as they kept most of the stars that helped them reach the Europa League final last season, yet they are currently eight points away from the top four.

Reports from Calciomercato claims that the Gunners will struggle to tie Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a new contract as the Gabonese attacker is looking for a club playing in the Champions League.

The report further claims that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are prepared to take their rivalry into the transfer market and battle for the signature of the Golden boot winner.

The same report states that Aubameyang has a long-standing interest in playing in the Spanish top flight and the 30-year-old would see this as an opportunity for him to fulfil that desire.

He turns 31 next summer, and he would have just a year left on his Arsenal deal, with the Gunners struggling to get him to sign a new deal, the club may decide to cash in on him.

Alexandre Lacazette is also reportedly unsettled and would consider his future if Champions League looks unlikely.

This was always going to happen. You cannot keep on missing out on Europe’s elite competition and continue to retain and attract the best players.

The future is not looking so bright right now.

  1. Players come and go but the team stays. Auba would not be the first star Arsenal is losing at such a trying moment.
I wouldn’t hesitate cashing in on a 30 year old star to Madrid or Barça. This would leave room for Laca the youngsters like Martinelli

    1. Martinelli will need years before he gets to Aubameyangs level, if he does get there
Aubameyang is better than Lacazette too

  2. Won’t mind selling him for a reasonable amount. He’s been brilliant for us though, but he’s getting older. We can replace him, hopefully with Martinelli and/or Nketiah. And reinvest in the squad with the proceeds from his sale

  3. You can’t blame abua for having his head turned. He’s playing for a team that’s not competing at any level. Barca or real offer champions League, League titles and more importantly medals

  4. I heard him in an interview years back when he said that he would be pleased to play for Real Madrid one time. That was when he was with Dortmund.

We have seen committed players leaving Arsenal after some bit of frustrations. Let not fans create this frustration to players like him. For we may end up driving good players away for signing.
