Arsenal’s ambitious pursuit of Vinicius Jr continues to gather momentum, with fresh reports claiming the Gunners are preparing an opening offer worth €100 million for the Real Madrid star.
According to Madrid Universal Arsenal are expected to submit an initial bid for the Brazilian international, although Los Blancos are reportedly prepared to reject that first proposal as they continue to hold out for a significantly higher fee.
A first transfer fee begins to emerge
Much of the speculation surrounding Vinicius Jr’s future has centred on his ongoing contract negotiations with Real Madrid, but this is one of the first reports to attach a specific figure to Arsenal’s reported interest.
Despite Vinicius entering the final year of his current deal next summer, the report claims Real Madrid still value the 26-year-old well above Arsenal’s proposed €100 million offer and are unwilling to sanction a sale at that price.
However, the Spanish giants are also said to have reached their limit regarding contract negotiations.
It is claimed that no improved offer will be made to the player, with Vinicius already having a renewal proposal on the table. If he decides not to accept those terms, a departure this summer cannot be ruled out, but only if Real Madrid’s valuation is met.
Arsenal’s financial package remains attractive
While Arsenal’s reported transfer fee may fall short of Real Madrid’s expectations, the package being offered to the player himself is said to be considerably more attractive.
The report suggests the Gunners are prepared to offer Vinicius a salary of €25 million per season, bringing them much closer to the player’s reported €30 million annual demands.
Just as importantly, Arsenal are also said to be willing to allow the Brazilian to retain 100 per cent of his image rights.
That represents a notable contrast to his current arrangement at Real Madrid, where his commercial rights are reportedly shared equally with the club.
Patience could be Arsenal’s biggest weapon
Recent reports have suggested Arsenal have already laid much of the groundwork should an opportunity arise to sign the winger, while Real Madrid remain hopeful of reaching an agreement over a new contract.
If this latest update is accurate, the Gunners appear content to remain patient rather than rush into negotiations.
With Vinicius yet to commit his future to Real Madrid, Arsenal may feel time is on their side, particularly if contract talks continue without a breakthrough.
For now, however, the expectation is that any opening offer worth €100 million would be rejected, meaning there could still be plenty of twists to come in what is already shaping up to be one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer.

Vinicius Junior has no intention of signing for Arsenal from recent reports and no personal terms were agreed. he will probably renew for Real. Arsenal must look elsewhere

Why are some people pessimistic about this story? Does it mean that players can’t be bought from RM ? IMO, if Vin can’t agree with the package he has been offered RM will have to sell and am told this deal has been approved at all levels

I’m honestly not excited about this rumour. No doubt, he’s a great baller, but I’m not sure he’s what is needed to complete the puzzle in the team. I’ll pick Yildiz over him any day, though not a superstar compared to Vini in terms of influence and achievements. He’s a player with all the required potentials for now and the future

If he was moving, would we be the only suitors his team would listen to? Wouldn’t Bayern appear and gazump us on not just wage but add ons and agent fees too?
The image rights thing is interesting. One issue could be you bust your pay restraint on a player, do the players in the squad hold out for lot more when their contracts are up – a pay inflation thing. But from Juniors camp point of view, which is more – 600pw plus 50% IPR v 400pw plus 100% IPR.
Are you like me thinking, at PL Champions, in PL, is there more exposure world wide, is income from image rights going to shoot up?

Bayern already have Luis Diaz doing a great job for them for half the salary.
Vini Jr would prefer to stay at RM I think so if they offer him something he’s happy with, I expect he’ll stay. There aren’t any other clubs that could afford him going for him that we know of. Arsenal would be a logical option from financial point of view, and of course he has Brazilian teammates with us already, would be in a team he would be the biggest star, and seriously competing for the Champions League. So we’re one of a handful of potential options (since PSG already have Kvara and Barcola in his position, and RM won’t sell to Barca), and probably the best bet of all of them.
We might not paying enough attention to the huge row Jr had with his new manager a few months ago. Jr could be on the move because he feels slighted, just hates the managers guts has zero respect for him now. We could be underestimating there is no working relationship between the two of them. Big budgets, big ego’s. It doesn’t always work. There’s a lot of factional infighting, ego’s, politics going on in that Real Madrid dressing room last season.
If he moved, still don’t think he’d consider Arsenal though – the big wage big bung to agents vibe of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool would attract him first I suspect.

Man City won’t pay that much for him. Chelsea isn’t even in the Champion’s League. Liverpool have a few obvious issues with their wings but if they can’t afford Barcola, they definitely can’t afford Vini Jr.
And seriously, that’s funny about Konsa. Glad they’re excited about winning the “bidding war” haha.
The issues Vini Jr has with his contract and role at RM go way deeper than Mourinho being the new Madrid manager… I’m sure it doesn’t help, but it doesn’t appear to be a key issue influencing his thinking right now at least.
