Real Madrid are the latest club to join Arsenal in the race for Alex Scott, with more clubs pushing to sign the Bournemouth midfielder at the end of this season.
Scott was superb for the Cherries last campaign and came close to helping them qualify for the Champions League, which made him one of the most wanted players during the summer.
Somehow, Bournemouth managed to hold on to Scott, but after he rejected their offer of a new contract, they are now expected to listen to offers for his signature at the end of this season.
Scott wants to join a top club, and Arsenal are one of the teams that have indicated an interest in adding him to their squad in the next transfer window.
Real Madrid enter the race
However, Fichajes says Arsenal now face competition from Real Madrid, who see Scott as the next Englishman they could add to their squad when there is a chance to complete a deal.
Madrid already have some top English talents in their current squad, and they see Scott as a player who has the quality to do well in their team. They will therefore challenge Arsenal and other top English teams for his signature.
Scott’s situation could become increasingly interesting as the end of the season approaches, particularly with Bournemouth expected to consider offers after his decision not to accept a new contract.
Arsenal face increased competition
Arsenal have already shown interest in Scott, but Real Madrid’s involvement would give the midfielder another potential destination. The Gunners will have to contend with growing competition if they want to secure his signature.
Scott has attracted significant interest following his performances for Bournemouth, and his decision over his next club could become one of the notable transfer stories at the end of the season.
For Arsenal, the growing interest means there could be greater competition for the midfielder. Real Madrid’s reported interest adds another major club to the list of teams considering a move for Scott.

This player is to my liking.. can we compete with the lure
of Real..? Injuries keep piling up, How boring and predictable is that !!
This guy is a top class footballer and why he has not been given an opportunity to perform for England beggars belief. He will probably move on from his present Club ,which is one of the most respected and well run in the Premier League at the end of the season, and I only hope that our reported interest in him is genuine. If, as seems likely, Zubimendi leaves Arsenal next year, he would be the logical replacement and would add another dimension to our strong midfield options. Not only is he a highly energetic, intelligent and skilful central midfielder, but he can be used as a number 10 where he would provide severe competition for our admirable Captain. He has an ability to find space with his runs into the box and is quicker over the ground than, Eze or Odegaard.Unfortunately many top Clubs will be after him if he becomes available, including Real Madrid.
