Real Madrid ruled out of move for Arsenal superstar

Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil has been linked with an exit recently as his contract nears its final 18 months, but Guillem Balague believes there is no chance of a deal.

The German international joined the Gunners from Real back in 2013 in a £42.5 Million switch, and he has earned huge praise in England.

The Spanish giants have since been linked with a move to re-sign the assist-master, with Ozil seemingly unwilling to extend his current contract at present. Both Mesut and Alexis Sanchez have been in talks over new deals for over six months now, yet there is no sign that an agreement is set to come at present.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has now moved to insist that a return to Spain with Madrid is not on the horizon however, with neither party interested in such a deal.

Balague said: ‘Mesut Ozil is not keen to re-join Real Madrid, partly because Real don’t want him either.

‘They were happy to let him go for the price he went, and they are not looking for that type of player.’

The player himself has also insisted that he is happy in North-London, but until a new contract is finally in place, the cloud of doubt will remain over the star’s intentions.

This saga looks likely to continue until the end of the season unfortunately, but should the duo enter the final year of their contracts, we will all have to start to believe the worst…

I still believe that Wenger’s own contract situation is the stumbling block on a deal, and only once our new manager is named, or when the Frenchman has signed a new deal, will their futures finally be sorted out.

Do you think Ozil and Sanchez would sign on at Arsenal even if Wenger was to be gone?
