Real Madrid to offer player-exchange in order to win race for Bellerin?

Real Madrid are the latest name to be linked with a move to sign Hector Bellerin from Arsenal.

Barcelona are claimed to be eyeing a summer move for the Spain international, citing the Gunners dismal season as well as the doubt over the club’s main assets as weakness, and will try and use that to lure Bellerin away from the club.

The right-back has fallen out of Arsene Wenger’s first-team plans since adopting a new 3-4-2-1 formation, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain favoured at right wing-back, although the French boss has claimed that the young defender has failed to recover from an injury earlier in the season, and is a part of his plans.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to hold an interest in the 22 year-old, and with Pep Guardiola in charge of the former, they could well be of interest to Hector should he decide to leave.

Arsenal have sold a number of key players to the Citizens over the past decade, but I no longer believe we have such a need to sell to our big-spending rivals, with the Emirates now paid off in full.

We also have no need to succumb to pressure from the player or rival clubs to sell, with Bellerin having been tied down to a new six-year deal only this season, tying him to Arsenal until 2023 should we wish to.

Real Madrid are the latest club to be linked with a move for our star, and are said to be looking to give us Danilo in exchange, following the £26 Million signings failure to break into the first-team since his move from Porto.

It is claimed this offer may tempt us into considering his sale, but I can’t personally see him going, not unless a monstrous offer comes in at least.

Could Danilo take over from Bellerin? Would Bellerin want to leave if we failed to earn Champions League football next season?
