Thomas Partey is one of Arsenal’s best players this season and the Ghanaian’s performance in the middle is one reason the Gunners are having a very good year.

Mikel Arteta made the former Atletico Madrid man one of his first buys when he became the club’s manager and Partey has not disappointed.

Since he moved to the Emirates, injuries have often disrupted his playing time at the club, but he has been fit for much of this term.

The Independent says the midfielder is the key man for the Gunners and his importance cannot be overstated. They write:

“They very probably would have qualified for the Champions League last season had Partey’s campaign lasted from August to May, not September to April. He missed their first three league games, and they lost all; he missed their last nine, and they lost four. No Partey, no party?

“They may think so. Partey isn’t quite their modern-day Invincible, but he isn’t far off. Arsenal have only lost four games this season. Partey sat out two, came off with the scores level on Friday and came on when PSV Eindhoven were already ahead. Still more than invincible, he has felt Arsenal’s indispensable.”

Just Arsenal Opinion

Partey is undoubtedly one of our key men at the moment and we have been lucky that his fitness has not been an issue as much as before.

The midfielder brings so much to our team and continues to prove he is a player we can almost not do without.

Because of his injury history, it would be smart if we could add a new man to the squad as his backup this month.

    1. What are they smoking at Emirates! We may not have a better chance to fight for the title and now we want to help Chelsea get rid of their weak links and fund their spending for upgrades. History repeating itself

  1. An understatement, Partey is crucial to Arsenal’s success. He’s silky good when on song the way he glides across the grass and spreads around those diagonal passes, lovely player

    1. But why did Mikel Arteta use Partey in that Man city FA cup game that’s not our priority for now?

      I’m pained

      1. Yes
He plays Partey and Holding against City
        I don’t get it
If Arteta wanted to beat City why play Holding and if Arteta just wanted to ride out this game why play Partey..?

  2. Let Joginho go play his footballing trade in Australia. I personally don’t want him in our team.

  3. And now Mr Edu Gaspar in all his wisdom wants to bless us with friggin Joginho. A painfully slow over-the-hill player who’s basically an 8 expected to do what TP does! Joke. We wouldn’t be bothering Chelsea if Edu did his job! A job that he gets paid millions of pounds to do! Laughable.

    1. Edu can never sign a player who they have not agreed with the coach you should have known that by now

  4. Partey is a key man. If he gets injured we are you know what..ed. A strong DM we could get in THIS window is 6’5″ Sander Berge, who is still quite young. He is a powerful DM who can score a goal or two. He is an international teammate of Martin Odegaard.
