Rio Ferdinand does not doubt that Christos Tzolis has been the best signing of the summer in the Premier League so far this season, with the Arsenal attacker already making a strong impression.
The Gunners signed the Greek attacker as soon as they sold Leandro Trossard, and Tzolis has settled into the team well. He impressed during pre-season before carrying that form into the early competitive matches.
Arsenal are delighted to have won the race for Tzolis, who they regard as one of the best attacking players in the game. They had watched him tear defences apart in Belgium last season while helping Club Brugge achieve success.
Ferdinand praises Tzolis
The Gunners were aware that other clubs could have moved for Tzolis if they had not secured his signature. His reputation across the continent made him an attractive option, and his performances so far have suggested that Arsenal made the right decision.
Tzolis has looked like the real deal since joining Arsenal, showing that he can be trusted to produce strong performances for the team. The attacker will now be focused on maintaining that level as the season develops.
Ferdinand believes Tzolis has already shown enough to stand out from the other players who arrived in the Premier League during the summer. He has been particularly impressed by the winger’s ability and his decision-making in attacking areas.

Arsenal praised for Tzolis deal
Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel:
‘Who is the best signing of the transfer window? From what I’ve seen so far, I’m going to go for Tzolis,’ Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.
‘For the price you got him for, £35m, from what I’ve seen, jinky little winger, great vision, making good decisions in the final third.
‘I think, great bit of business done by the recruitment team at Arsenal.’
Ferdinand’s comments underline the positive impression Tzolis has made since arriving at the Gunners. His performances have quickly increased expectations around what he can contribute over the course of the campaign.
Arsenal will hope the Greek attacker can continue to justify the faith placed in him after the club moved quickly to secure his services. If he maintains his current level, Tzolis could prove to be one of the most effective additions made in the Premier League this summer.

Rio may be a little premature in his praise of PL performance given the small sample size but I believe at the least, barring injury, he will become a very good addition to the squad. In addition to the things Rio mentioned, I’ve already been impressed with his ability to target his crosses well for his mates as opposed to just whipping it in and hoping for the best.
I was a little concerned how easily he was bullied by Matt Cash against Villa.
The Premiership is a learning curve for all all foreign players and I am sure he will look back at that and learn from it.
A good signing though.
I agree Leon, Tzolis seems like a tough player but the experienced Cash knew what he was doing and decided to give the new guy a free intro to the PL.
I think he is trying his best to impress everybody, and that is what we fans want to see from him, well we all wish to see the best of his performance as the season goes,
Did he make this comment before the Villa game 😂
Personally I have liked TZolis in terms of his faster decision making to create chances for goals and how smart is managing attacking system. Many of us are impressed, his wing is doing well, faster and more so how he has adopted to premier League playing style. Many good players don’t easily adopt to premier League playing styles. Many take time to catch up, but Tzolis has done well.
I agree with Rio for his analysis and honest opinion. Looking at how the player has showed his ability for goals and strategic assist we hope for the best.
Let’s pray his form is maintained and focus well on winning more games. We all all know Arsenal has missed out on some key players it had on prime list, but that doesn’t stop it to do well.
Of course many powerful teams and competitors for various leagues had stocked players we shall get there. Arteta just need to make use of the team he has like how he did last season and give them courage of doing well, and showcase it’s possible.
Good enough he has not given out many key players from the team apart from the attacking side where he has emptied a beat but still giving chances for the remaining players show their ability to do the needful.
As an Arsenal fan I am sure we shall shake EPL Trophy again and some 1 or 2 other trophies.
Whatever I see Arsenal struggling is champion League, coz many great contendants for champions League have maintained their squad and some added more strategic players.
Thanks
