Real Madrid are reportedly willing to reduce their transfer demands for Rodrygo amid growing interest from Europe’s top clubs. Arsenal have been heavily linked with the Brazilian forward since the window opened in June, and this latest development could reignite their pursuit.
Rodrygo has long been admired by the Gunners hierarchy, not only for his versatility and Champions League pedigree, but also for his creative flair and work rate. Despite Arsenal’s £200 million summer outlay, bringing in Viktor Gyökeres, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Nørgaard, Cristhian Mosquera and Noni Madueke, they are still open to strengthening in the forward department.
Madrid willing to lower demands
As reported by Diario AS via Transfer News Live, Real Madrid are now prepared to accept offers below €90 million for Rodrygo. This marks a significant drop from earlier speculation that the Spanish giants would demand close to €100 million. The decision comes amid strong interest from several clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, PSG and Bayern Munich. Manchester City are also believed to be long-term admirers.
The lowered price tag could be a game-changer for Arsenal, who previously shifted their focus to Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze due to Rodrygo’s high valuation and uncertain status in Madrid. But with Real now reportedly more open to a sale, a move for the 24-year-old could be back on the table.

Complicated situation in Madrid
While Madrid may be open to letting Rodrygo leave, the player himself is believed to be reluctant to give up on his future at the Bernabéu. Despite a reduced role at the Club World Cup, the Brazilian remains hopeful of proving his worth. Still, the landscape could change quickly. If Arsenal feel a deal is possible, they have shown this summer, particularly with Benjamin Šeško and Gyökeres, that they’re capable of pivoting quickly and decisively.
It’s a transfer saga that could run until the final days of the window. The question is, will Arsenal make their move?
Thoughts Gooners? Continue to pursue Eberechi Eze or pivot to Rodrygo?

So much time and effort appear to have gone into getting Eze (if reports are to be believed) I’d be surprised if Arsenal now went for Rodrygo instead. Only Berta and a few others know though.
Bertie,
This Rodrygo connection is just as boring as the Williams one was, just one big 🥱.
I hope we go for Eze, a proven premier league player. Who would settle in more quickly in my opinion.
I’m with you both on this. Of course Arteta would probably take them both if he was allowed, but I’ll believe it when I see it!
Don’t you think Rodrigo has winning spirit than Eze in question…..I am from Africa…..
We should go for Rodrygo more, because he is a wounderful and game changing player unfortunately Xabi Alonso don’t see it
I look forward to seeing him at the Emirates next season
From the reports Madrid isn’t the problem was wage demands are. In overall starting to prefer Eze anyways honestly. There’s no risk at all with him because he knows the league
Eze and Rodrigo are excellent players and they play different wings. There is no harm in signing both of them if Arsenal can afford it. In fact it will be of immense benefit to Arsenal. But Rodrigo has to come down on his wages.
I’d prefer Rodrygo. While he is not PL proven, he is a worldclass player imo, and someone of his talent and experience will adapt fast, I am sure.
Also he is younger, which means we can rely on him for more years, or get a bigger transfer fee at some point. And let’s not forget, this is a guy who knows exactly what is required to win a CL.
That being said I think Eze is a huge upgrade too, and I would definitely not be disappointed, if we end up with him.
In the end, I think amazing transfer window if we get either of them.
Well spoken. It’s will be more amazing if we have both of them as it’s obvious they play different wings.
Between the two players I prefer the player who thinks we are the bomb, the bees-n-eez, the dogs bollo**s (loosely speaking). For me the Eze signing would be perfect. Rodrygo shows no enthusiasm to be anywhere other than real madrid or brazil so its Eze who gets the thumbs up all day long.
ARSENAL SIGN BOTH AND LET JESUS GO
So easy to write, so difficult to do.
Rodrygo – it will give us an unpredictable element to our game.
Yeah, I am not against Eze at all, but I just think Rodrygo will give us that little bit extra.
Imagine a front three of Saka, Gyokeres and Rodrygo, especially with our midfield behind them!
We will need it, because it looks like Liverpool may have a front three of Ekitike, Isak and Salah…
Consider the enthusiastic eze has for gunners unlike rodrygo that all what he thinks is real and eze playing in epl adaptation I think eze thick the box but at the same time age difference can lift rodrygo high cis we can also cash on him in the future, if arsenal can afford both the team is on fire this season🙏❤️💯
I think Rodrigo has this winning mental than eze, that fighting spirit that he has shown on several occasions like to qualify for the next round of any competition most especially champions League.
Go for Ezre, Rodrygo looks soft,PL is a physically demanding league.
I am for sticking with Eze. He has proven himself in the EPL. Yeah he is 27 yrs and therefore Rodrygo has the age advantage. But Eze’s more feasible immediate impact is a lesser risk.
The squad now is overwhelming. And that not yet include Eze. If heard correctly, Rodrygo wages dont come cheap. Afraid it can disrupt the rotation of players if all are available to play. I think current squad including Eze if the transfer complete is already perfect for a start to new season
