Rodrygo has once again been linked with a move to Arsenal at the end of the season, as the Brazilian could face a difficult battle for regular playing time at Real Madrid when he returns from his long injury layoff.
The attacker has been one of Madrid’s most important players over the years, but even before his current injury, he had struggled for consistent game time. His absence has now kept him away from the action, while circumstances at the club have continued to change.
A lot has changed since Rodrygo suffered his knee injury, and he remains on the road to recovery. With a new manager now at the helm, the attacker will have to impress once he returns and work his way back into the team.
Arsenal maintain interest in Rodrygo
Rodrygo remains a top player, and Arsenal are reportedly planning to make an approach for him when the season ends after missing out on Vinicius Junior.
It is a move that Rodrygo might welcome, while Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the Gunners’ interest in the Brazilian. He said via Caught Offside:
“Rodrygo has always been mentioned as a transfer target for Arsenal.”
Romano added, “So, at the moment about Arsenal, I cannot say anything else. There is not a position. Obviously, they like the player, but now is not time for movements because in January nothing will happen. Rodrygo will stay. In the summer, it’s a way too early to predict anything.

Rodrygo remains grateful to Madrid
Romano also stressed that Rodrygo remains appreciative of Real Madrid for the support he has received during his difficult period with injury.
“What I can guarantee is that Rodrygo is really grateful with Real Madrid for how they are helping him and trusting him and believing in him despite the difficult moment in terms of injury.”
For now, Rodrygo’s priority remains his recovery and return to action. His future could become clearer once he is back on the pitch and has an opportunity to establish himself under the new manager.
Arsenal’s interest gives the situation another dimension, but Romano’s comments indicate that any potential summer move remains too early to predict.

A six-month loan deal for starters would be good to strengthen that left wing.
The other day, Jamie Ohara suggested that City have a better squad that Arsenal, though he conceded that Arsenal were still favourites for the PL title because they are the more stable team.
I took time to look look at both squads and I’m tempted to agree with him that the City squad looks slightly superior, at least on paper. And that’s all because Arsenal didn’t adequately replace the attacking players they let go in the summer
This ship has sailed in my opinion, we should move on to other talents, getting Rashford on loan in January won’t be a bad idea if you ask me.
Try watching Rashford and you’ll see that it’s a terrible idea to even think about signing him. Real Bestis winger, Abde Ezzalzouli, should be the prime target. We can talk about an elite striker in the summer.
Too late, perhaps a transfer a couple of years ago. Since then his form has fallen off, he’s been replaced in the lineup and on the bench, and the knee injury set him back even further.
We should pass on him, I don’t believe he solves our LW problem to be honest. I believe there are better options out there with a high ceiling for the future. Hopefully Arsenal keep looking for players that better suit our needs.
I would definitely take Yildz or Kroupi over Rodrygo any day, but that is my preference.
