Arsenal have been tipped to retain the Premier League title this season, and the Gunners want more as they look to sweep all the competitions they will compete in.
Last season, they also reached the final of the Champions League and the Carabao Cup, and there were expectations that they could win the quadruple before crashing out of the FA Cup. They have learnt from that campaign and strengthened their squad, so there is a good chance that the Gunners will look to win even more this term.
Arsenal Target Domestic Treble
It is a campaign in which most people agree that Arsenal are the best, most stable and strongest team in England, meaning they could truly conquer all and win the domestic treble.
The signings they have made suggest they want to achieve that, as they have prioritised adding quality players to their squad over quantity. They aim to ensure the team remains in top shape throughout a demanding campaign.
The Gunners have added further quality to their squad, giving Mikel Arteta more options as they compete across several competitions. Their strength in depth could prove important as the season progresses and the demands on the players increase.
Scholes Backs Arsenal’s Chances
Paul Scholes has now discussed their chances of winning the treble and said via the Metro:
‘I think it’s very possible (winning the domestic treble) with the way they’re looking.
‘I still think in the last week of the transfer window they could bring another player, which is scary. They’ve just signed Ezri Konsa as well who is a top-class defender.’
Scholes believes Arsenal are in a strong position to challenge for the domestic treble, while also suggesting that another signing could make them even more formidable.
The Gunners will now hope their improved squad can deliver the success they have been seeking. With quality added in key areas and expectations high, Arsenal have a major opportunity to turn their strength into trophies this season.

They did it last season and they’re doing it again this season. Why are these pundits so hell bent on bigging Arsenal up.
Now we as fans know how good this team can be and their potential. But the way some of these pundits talk, you’d think that we’ve dominated the game season after season.
While we’ve been consistent, we’re only now starting to show signs that just maybe a trophy spurt may just be possible.
I must have a sinical side, because all this love-in by these pundits make me suspicious of their motives. Anyone else have similar thoughts?.

Haha Derek, I also try read between the lines when I hear any pundit speaking about Arsenal these days. We are so used to pundits being anti-Arsenal (Arsenal are bottlers, not physically or mentally tough enough, they play boring football etc). It goes back to the last few years of the Wenger era.
You find in most sports, teams don’t want that favorites tag, and prefer to have the underdog tag, which is why I sometimes think there’s an underlying message.
All that aside though, I honestly think they are now just acknowledging the fact that we are a very solid team now. It’s just been engrained in me to think that anything they say has a negative connotation to it!

Scholes is being honest and he is finally giving us our due respect so we should embrace it and stop finding petty meanings to it.
And we should also get a really scary Lwinger like shcoles was hinting for we are still weak there, we can manage havertz ,gyok and merino in CF but not tzolis and whoever in LW
