Should Arsenal profit from Mbappe’s Real move?

Real Madrid look to be upping their effort to land Kylian Mbappe for a likely World Record sum, and are believed to be looking to raise funds for his signature.

Arsenal had been linked with a surprise big-money signing of the Monaco wonderkid, with the belief that they would recoup that money when he joined Real Madrid or Barcelona in a few years time.

The Spanish giants are already looking to offload James Rodriguez, who is believed to be the subject of interest from big-spending duo Chelsea and Manchester United, and his wages would likely be beyond our current wage structure.

We don’t actually need him if we are going to keep Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, but we could do with bolstering other areas, and Mateo Kovacic is believed to be available as Real look to raise funds.

The Croatian international has started only 27 league matches since joining the club two years back in a reported €29 Million deal, and is now being offered to clubs supposedly.

Tottenham are linked as a possible destination, although I can’t imagine he would go to such a small club despite them earning consecutive entries in the Champions League for the first time in their history.

A return to Italy would likely be ruled out by his wages, and a move to the Premier League or Paris Saint-Germain would make the most sense. We could do with a proven midfielder to add to our midfield ranks, and he would be an ideal replacement for Santi Cazorla, who has already been ruled out of action for much of the campaign.

Can you think of a better replacement for Cazorla?
