Should Arsenal worry about Man United momentum?

First of all Arsenal have two hugely important games coming up in the Champions League and FA cup, which are the only realistic targets for the Gunners if we are to achieve a trophy this season. But after the trip to Germany to face Bayern Munich and then a slightly shorter trip across London to Ganders Green Lane to face non-league Sutton, Arsenal have almost two weeks before the next match, which is away to Liverpool in the Premier League.

The weekend we have off is because we were supposed to play Southampton who have reached the EFL cup final, so at least Man United will not play in the league and make up ground on us, but the others fighting for a top four spot will have that chance.

If things go against us then Arsenal could go to Anfield out of the top four and behind Tottenham, Man City and Liverpool. That would bring us into a direct battle with Man United as well and they play earlier than we do against Liverpool.

A win for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford against Bournmouth would give them one more point than us and you would expect them to get it. United are looking dangerous and they have great momentum having not lost in 17 EPL games, since losing at Chelsea in October.

So you can see that Wenger and the Gunners have a big problem on the horizon and I for one am getting very concerned about Man United. They are looking good for a top four finish in my opinion and now that Liverpool seem to be over their slump, could Arsenal be one of the current top six teams that will miss out on a Champions League spot for next season?

  1. Wait until Thursday League returns. Normally speaking we should be concerned on our game not others but hey, given that our football is poor then I guess we should be concerned about every other team next to use in the table.

  2. There is nothing to worry about. Manure won’t stop their good form, Arsenal won’t stop having a few bad games from time to time, Manure will finish in the top four and Arsenal will fight for the fifth with Liverpool. I’ve never been this sure about the outcome of the season as I am now. You’ve read it here first, people!

  3. Something else to think about.
If Man U or spurs win Europa league and therefore gain entry into champs league, only top three in league go in with them.
