Manchester City And Liverpool In Pursuit
City, with Enzo Maresca, have been given a 20.5 per cent chance of winning the title. That makes them Arsenal’s closest challengers according to the prediction, although the gap between the two sides shows the confidence in the Gunners.
Liverpool emerge as the third favourites, with a 9.2 per cent chance of becoming champions by the summer of 2027. Their position means they remain part of the title conversation, but the prediction places Arsenal clearly ahead of their main rivals.

Arsenal 38%, City 20.5%. Hopefully the SC won’t make an error in the region of a 17% gap. If chasers were behind by a 10% gap we might say they’ve decent chances of lifting. 17% is statistically too significant a gap to narrow down. Congrats Gooners!
Haven’t we see Arsenal blow up 15 points lead which is over 17% statistically.

The last thing we need is some dozy Super Computer predicting what will happen.

Similar to the current Betfair odds that imply Arsenal 40%, Man City 22%, Liverpool 14%.
It has been suggested there is a chance that Man City could finally have points deducted later in the season. I don’t know whether or how much that is factored into the odds. Without that possibility, I would make Man City closer to Arsenal in the betting, given how unconvincing (and totally reliant on the defence) our lot were last season.
They were supposed to have been dealt with in June and numerous times in the last year and NOTHING? It stinks.

They would be relegation candidates in the betting if there were a 100% chance of a points deduction.
From a betting perspective, factoring in this possibility involves estimating the chances of it happening, which is obviously based on individual perceptions and impossible to accurately quantify.
City will get a punishment that they and the so-called authority’s that run the game will be happy with.
We all know that if City aren’t happy with their so-called punishment, out will come their lawyers to start appeal after appeal and this will drag on and on until they get the punishment they can swallow.
And all this, while they’re still paying big bucks for players.
