Surely Arsenal must be a banker bet to beat Vorskla on Thursday?

Arsenal have now won three Premier League games in a row and have finally hit some form after our two opening defeats to Man City and Chelsea. But now the pressure of extra games begin as we face the Ukranian minnows Vorskla at the Emirates on Thursday evening.

Our new coach will be very keen to use this competition to give us automatic entry into the Champions League next season, and Unai Emery will be very keen to win his 4th Europa League trophy so I am sure we will be taking this seriously.

There will definitely be a shedload of changes to the team as our new coach is keen to see how his reserves are performing and whether they can challenge for a place in the first team or not, so whoever plays will be looking to impress the boss, and they should have an easy ride again Vorskla who had lost four of their first five away games in the Ukraine. Their chances are reflected in the price at the bookies and the Gunners are a very short 1.12 to win. It is probably not worth backing them on their own but as there will be lots of games in the first round of the Europa Group stages that day they are definitely worth including in a footy accumulator on the night.

Footy accas are very popular when there are big European nights so I am going to suggest a few teams to add to Arsenal on Thursday if you want to do an accumulator, and if you want some professional tips instead then go visit on the day of the match. With that amount of games surely we could all pick a winning acca?

I’m suggesting as bankers for the evening:

Arsenal to beat Vorskla 1.12
Dynamo Kiev to beat Astana 1.53
Besiktas to beat Sarpsborg 1.22
Villarreal to beat Rangers 1.33
Sporting Lisbon v Qarabag 1.28
Leipzig to beat Salzburg 1.80

Just those six add up to over 5/1 for the accumulator, and if you add a coupple more you could be n to winning some big money for a very small outlay. All the home teams I’ve picked will believe they have chances of going all the way to the final, so I am certain they will be trying.

Worth a bet?

I don’t think there will be a “shedload” of changes to the team. I’m thinking that Emery will want to make a statement of intent in this game and play a very strong team with possibly just 4 or maximum 5 changes.

From one who knows , REALLY knows, about betting, these many suggested bets are what bookies love and make much of their money by offering. Any professional bettor will not touch this suggested nonsense with the proverbial bargepole. Accumulators are fools gold. That, in part , is why bookies are rich. My advice is learn that trade or don’t bet, unless you want to lose money.

BTW when someone does have a big accumulator win the bookies will trumpet it to the high heavens as this will no doubt entice more mugs to part with their hard-earned.

Gambling is a mug’s game, except for a few top professionals, who do extensive research for their limited number of bets.
With reference to this particular game, the Arsenal has lost to plenty of so called “minnows” in the past. No team should be taken lightly.

OZZIE, SPOT ON! Gambling is run by business people and played, in the main , by mug amateurs. It is in effect an unfair and unethical business, UNLESS you as a bettor know at least as much as they do. That largely depends on your personal drive to learn, your intelligence(or lack of). Luck, as you say, is trumpeted by the business people to further entice the novices into giving their money away.I UNDERSTAND AND STUDY LAWS OF POSSIBILITIES, CORRECT ODDS FOR A TRUE OCCURENCE AND STILL LOSE MORE THN i WOULD WISH. Though iI do make a good income from it.

I am not a gambling man, but why on earth would anyone who is lucky enough to have say £12000 lying around bother to risk it for a mere £1000. I do have a little money in the bank but it is staying there!
