Szczesny will wait until after the Euros to decide on his future!
There has been a lot of talk already during this summer transfer window, that Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, will consider his future with the Gunners during the off-season. It is rumoured that Italian side AS ROMA are lining up a bid for the Polish international, who kept clean sheet for his country in their opening game.
Szczesny spent last season out on loan with Roma, but could now make a move to the Italian side permanent. This is after supposedly feeling unwanted by Arsenal anymore. Szczesny has previously said in the media that he is a Gooner with immense passion and commitment to the club. However of course he has his own personal concerns as a professional footballer and the biggest interest for Szczesny right now, will surely be a first team regular. This is something that cannot be guaranteed by Arsenal and therefore Szczesny could be leaving the club permanent this summer, rather than go out on loan again.
Speaking to the media in regards to a possible move away from the Emirates, Szczesny was keen to squash all rumours of an imminent transfer happening, simply stating that he would not decide on his future until after the European Championships.
Whilst on international duty with Poland, Szczesny said: “Right now I’m not thinking about my future.My teammates and I are focused exclusively on the Euros. I hope to achieve a good result with Poland, I’ll only think about other things once the tournament is over.”
In my opinion Szczesny has proven that he does have quality as a good goalkeeper, despite his inconsistencies and issues off the pitch. Therefore I think Arsenal should keep hold of the Polish shot stopper, the biggest concern however will be keeping him happy, with Petr Cech sure to hold down the number one spot.
Rumours about David Ospina leaving the club this summer have also increased in recent weeks, so I highly doubt Wenger will let both players leave in one transfer window. I Think Szczesny is more likely to stay, simply because of his commitment and passion towards Arsenal, and that Szczesny still has the potential to grow and develop under the guidence of Cech, whilst I think Ospina has reached his maximum ability.
Will Szczesny be waving goodbye to the Emirates permanently this summer? Will he be sent out on loan again? Or will he return to the club to be a part of first team duties next season?

How does the News on mkhitaryan suddenly change in a space of one hour?….. Was it not only yesterday we all thought his sis following Arsenal on Linkedin was an indicator?….. Now reports are saying he’d stay back at B.dortmund one more year and Leave for free (To manure) next year!

Leaving for free next year to Man Utd. next year doesn’t make any sense. I believe its totally fabricated cause of following reasons.
1. Man Utd are a rich club who can spend lots of cash (Transfer amount + wages) and thus can actually meet his buyout clause.
2. Man Utd will be backing Mou to spend on any player he deems fit or wants.
3. BvB have not shown any signs of forcefully letting Miki run down his contract, which might suggest they are ok to let him leave. unlike Lewandowski scenario.
But football is a strange game. Transfers are even stranger.
There is too much bad blood between Szcz and the club. Roma is as big as Arsenal
and a much nicer place to live than rainy
cold London. Arsenal should sign Butland.
Agree with butland, but can’t agree with the living side of things. I am certain Szczesney lives out Hadleigh wood way or that area. There isn’t anywhere in Rome that comes close.
As for the post, I would like to know why AH you think Szczesney has potential to develop? but ospina has reached his maximum ability?
It cannot be an age thing as there isn’t much between them, I personally think that ospina shows a far greater professionalism than wojech. I certainly don’t hear of him sulking off with a fag in the showers or laughing after he let’s a goal in. I have also not heard him slating wengers tactics, the statement he made about learning more in 4 months than he did in 10 years at arsenal would have hurt wenger. But for all he has learnt he still has not learned about class. I would take ospina over Szczesney any day of the week, but would sell both if we could land butland as cech’s back up.
