The confirmed team for Liverpool v Arsenal – Let the fun begin…

Okay here we go. This is a massive match today for Arsenal as we try to stop Liverpool from continuing their (so far) invincible season, and who better to stop it then Arsenal themselves!

But we can’t deny that the squad has been decimated by injuries, including the weird Ozil situation that everyone wants to get to the bottom of. But with the very few players available to Emery I do believe that he will play the very best team available to him.

This is the team I predicted in my Liverpool v Arsenal Preview earlier…..

And here at last we have the confirmed team chosen by Emery….

Well I got ten of them right! Only Ramsey is in instead of Lacazette, who is our secret weapon on the bench. The rest of our possible subs are not looking too scarey though. Elneny, Willock, Saka, Guendouzi and Koscielny are hardly going to strike fear into our opponents.

But it is what it is. Let’s get behind the team and hope for the best…

    1. Have we really got our Arsenal back?
      Arsene Wenger’s arsenal could not keep a lead. Same does Unai Emery’s Arsenal,. So therefore, we have not got our Arsenal back!!!!!

Thank goodness Spurs are losing atm.Wolves are very trickery in their approach .They seem to not do almost anything against top team teams in the first half but getting to the closing stages of the match they start to dominate the opponent.I was watching Adama Traore and he reminded me of Iwobi.He can be good but has poor decision making and does many things wrong Btw,keep the faith in this match too as I told you at home.I expect us to go and play football and not defend which will inevitably land is I trouble.Was hoping for a 4-3-3 with ANN,Torreira and Ramsey at the middlle but the three back just doesn’t hive me confidence.I would’ve put Laca at RW and Iwobi at LW because we need all our attacking talent on the pitch.This match will not be a lucky win for each team and the team which attacks better will win.

It’s a normal feeling at times like this.Just keep supporting till the end because we are in for a good fight today.I hope the team attacks them without fear and wins it for us.We need to be able to win against the odds and even though logic says we should lose I still believe it comes down to the more attacking team.

        2. Sue so what is the point of wanting a defensive work rate from Ozil when the defenders and milders in this current team playing Liverpool can not defend at all. Will it not be wiser to someone who can not do defensive work but can create goals. This Liverpool first half performance is shameful

We simply have to endure this tsunami of destruction for 45 more minutes and it will be over. I wish you had accepted it, it would have been so much easier for you as it is for me right now.

                1. Sue the most painful part of this Liverpool game was that Emery hasn’t learned anything from our previous away games. He kept the defence playing the same way which as led to us conceding away goal. Aubameyang has no supply at all, Liverpool just kept running through the mild like there was nobody there, and the defence just kept giving away cheap goals. Where is our best creative milder, why is he picking up fights with players? I hope he is very happy with the defensive duties of the players he put out today. Who needs creativity when our defenders lick goals like no mans business.

How the Wolves coach does it against top teams I don’t know.They look like absolutely nothing in the first 45mins and then getting to the end of the match they turn up the heat,score and start to dominate.When we face them we must really put the match to bed early tbh or we are really going to get what’s coming.

        Torreira is to blame for 1st two goals, and we need to get rid of arsenes defence – xhaka out, mustafi out, and ramsey to inter asap please.
        Niles and Iwobi are only one trying something, Auba has noone to play with. Emery is playing with Iwobi, Ramsey and him like he played PSG with Cavani, Neymar and Mbappe! Wierd. For that, Board has to spent at least 200 mil, and they wont do that even they have a nice example how Liverpool did it and look where they are now!

    Offense wins games, but defending wins titles. Liverpool got VVD and Allison and they’ve been on another level ever since. Meanwhile we’ve got RB Lichtsteiner on free who looks overwhelmed, Bellerin still can’t defend, Mustafi braindead still, and pub squad defense.

Without this we cannot further progress and compete with top sides we are miles behind liverpool and Man city and also behind tottenham and chelsea. Need a back four just like invincible’s back four or George Graham’s back four with aggression,organisation,leadership and more importantly very tough defenders. Need to do spending attack is fine just spend all on defense.

    We should have had at least 1 penalty, and Salah’s penalty shouldn’t have been given.
    That said, I expected the exact same outcome and didn’t bother replying folks like Kev who view this team with rose tinted glasses.
    1+1 will always be = 2
    The team has no discernible pattern of play, no real creativity and just depends on individual moments of brilliance or opponents defensive mistakes to score.
    This would have been alright if we didn’t have the worse set of defenders in the league. Our defensive players including Torriera all played like Mustafi/Jerkinson clones.

You keep encouraging kronke by buying season tickets when you know arsenal as a team is no competition to the big clubs. Do it the African way. Observe the dealing and buying of players during pre-season. If they have done good business with spectacular buys not average then you are satisfied then go ahead and buy the season ticket. I bet you if the stadium is empty of arsenal fans they will be forced to buy quality players I mean world class. Don’t let anyone deceive us arsenal are bloody rich and can spend if they want to. Probably was a good thing to loose today so that arsenal hierchy can be forced into january transfer window, also we all knew we were going loose even before the game kicked off we just didnt know by how many goals, the entire defence need overhaul and we need a goal keeper, in our offense side compared with Liverpool they have so many weapons and alternative – it is a total offence as a team unlike arsenal Auba the only main striker and isolated and easy for liverpool defence to mark him there are no enogh service providers to him if we are not careful we will be overtaken by manu.
