The Growing Popularity of Arsenal in India

English Premier League side Arsenal have had somewhat of a resurgence over the past two seasons, finishing second in the league at the end of the 2022/23 campaign and currently in second place in the league after 8 games played in the 2023/24 campaign.

Their current form has not gone unnoticed in India, where they are currently the second most-followed English Premier League side below Manchester United, who still have the biggest following.

Let’s take a closer look at how Arsenal are currently doing in the domestic league and the UEFA Champions League.

Can Arsenal win the 2023/24 Premier League?

To find out Arsenal’s chances of winning the 2023/24 Premier League, the best thing to do would be to check and compare the latest EPL outright winner betting market odds at today’s most trusted betting sites in India.

You will see that it’s currently not looking too bad for ‘the Gunners.’ They are currently the second odds-on favourite team to win the EPL behind the odds-on favourites and current reigning champions, Manchester City.

Here are the latest average odds if you were to place a bet right now on the EPL outright winner betting market:

  • Manchester City (favourites) – 1.73 (decimal odds), with a 57.90% IPR (implied probability rate). When converted into the fractional odds format and the American/moneyline odds format, 1.73 is the same as saying 8/11 (fractional odds) and -138 (American/moneyline odds)
  • Arsenal – 5.00 (decimal odds), with a 20.00% IPR. 1.73 is the equivalent of 4/1 (fractional) and +400 (American/moneyline)
  • Liverpool – 6.00 (decimal odds), with a 16.70% IPR. 6.00 is the equivalent of 5/1 (fractional) and +500 (American/moneyline)
  • Tottenham Hotspur – 11.00 (decimal odds), with an 8.30% IPR. 11.00 is the equivalent of 11/1 (fractional) and +1,100 (American/moneyline)

Don’t forget that no sports bets are ever guaranteed to return you a profit, no matter how certain the implied probability rate may seem. Also, betting odds in any sport are subject to change at any time, and anything can happen in football to upset the odds.

What about Arsenal’s chances of winning the UEFA Champions League?

It’s not looking as good for Arsenal in the Champions League. They are only the fourth odds-on favourite, behind, you guessed it, Manchester City, the current reigning champions of this event.

In 2022/23, Manchester City won the English Premier League, the UEFA Champions League AND the domestic FA Cup (known as the TREBLE). Here are the latest UEFA Champions League outright winner odds:

  • Manchester City (favourites) – 3.00 (decimal), with a 33.30% IPR. 3.00 is the equivalent of 2/1 (fractional) and +200 (American/moneyline)
  • Bayern Munich – 5.50 (decimal), with an 18.20% IPR. 5.50 is the equivalent of 9/2 (fractional) and +450 (American/moneyline)
  • Real Madrid – 7.50 (decimal), with a 13.30% IPR. 7.50 is the equivalent of 13/2 (fractional) and +650 (American/moneyline)
  • Arsenal – 10.00 (decimal), with a 10.00% IPR. 10.00 is the equivalent of 9/1 (fractional) and +900 (American/moneyline)
  • Barcelona – 11.00 (decimal), with a 9.10% IPR. 11.00 is the equivalent of 10/1 (fractional) and +1,000 (American/moneyline)

In other words, Arsenal have a slightly better chance of winning the Premier League this season than the UEFA Champions League.
