The latest Arsenal transfer gossip updates

Monday has been a day for updates as opposed to any new Arsenal transfer gossip, however, that does mean that it has not made for some interesting reading, in fact, some clarity has been brought forth, which is always helpful.

For starters, we now know what sort of figure Barcelona will want of Samuel Umtiti, a player we have repeatedly been linked with. According to Talksport, the Spanish giants want a whopping €80 Million.

One name that has not been mentioned too often though, is Alejandro Grimaldo, who currently plies his trade with Portuguese outfit Benfica. According to reports in Italy, we are keen on signing the 23-year-old and he is being viewed by Unai Emery as just the sort of full back that would fit in perfectly at the Emirates.

Sport Bild is claiming that we are in a battle with German champions Bayern Munich, Italian champions Juventus and fallen European champions Real Madrid for the services of Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo. Signing the impressive midfielder would be a coup for sure but he does seem to have a lot of suitors.

Finally, there is Lille’s Nicolas Pepe who is set to leave his club in the summer which has alerted us, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and according to Birmingham live, Wolverhampton Wanderers. We will know soon enough if we are really interested in the 23-year-old winger.

That is it so far today, like I said, not anything new as such just a bunch of updates, which can be just as exciting as any fresh names thrown into the ring.

  1. If Pepe or any left footed RW comes, I think Lacazatte might be transfer listed

Because he is still sellable and Arsenal have to accommodate Aubameyang, Nelson, Iwobi and the new inside forward. Especially if Arsenal plan to get a towering striker to diversify their attacking strategies

    1. Nope, sell Iwobi instead. Laca puts in a shift, scores goals, and is an impact player. Iwobi is merely a “sometimes” player. Sometimes he puts in a defensive shift, sometimes he passes and links up well, and sometimes he boosts team. However, dude rarely if ever scores.

How many more chances you willing to gift Iwobi with? His time is up I’m afraid, and Nelson is pushing for his opportunities.

  2. How good were Nketiah’s goals last night?! ? and well done to Jenko, who also scored. Always nice beating Chelsea ?

  3. This Nelson you keep singing cannot compete in the premier league basing on his way of play currently. Iwobi is a good player. He just needs some polishing from the coach then he’ll be good to go.
