Top DM tells Arsenal to make a move

Every Arsenal fan in the world knows that the Gunners are in desperate need of a top defensive midfielder, and is waiting impatiently for Arsene Wenger to finally announce that he has found a suitable target for us. So when a top Premiership midfielder actually comes out and insists he wants to play for us then surely Wenger must sit up and take notice?

There were many rumours last week that the French moneybags PSG were moving in to sign Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko, but that has not come to pass, but now the player himself has publicly stated that he really wants to move to the Emirates.

“I remain focused on Newcastle,” Sissoko was quoted as saying. “If something should happen, it will happen.

“England remains my priority. If Arsene Wenger calls me? We will have a discussion man to man. Arsenal has always been the club of my heart.”

“I would love to win the Euros [in 2016] with France and the Champions League too. I want to continue to go further and higher.”

Sissoko is big and strong, and at only 25 he probably has his best years in front of him. He already has two years experience of the rough and tumble of the Premiership and has performed superbly for Newcastle. He also has 27 caps for the France senior side so Wenger should be well aware of his abilities already, and it is clear that he wants to move to Arsenal.

I think Wenger should make that call as soon as possible, but if he passes up on it and then tries to tell us that “there were no suitable players available” then I will be very annoyed indeed!

  1. i didnt rate him, but ppl on here been saying he’s decent,
been watching him last few weeks, im impressed.
carvalho is good but still very raw
knowing mike ashley hes gonna overprice sissoko tho

choices choices! feeling optimistic – strange as a gooner to feel that in january

    1. who’s this krystian Bielik?….. And why is Dick Law flying out to meet him?…….. Really, who’s this boy?

      1. Guys, please understand me. I like Sissoko, but I prefer Wanyama as a DM. If only Wenger would get them both…

        R. Kelly: “I wish, I wish, I wish_”

        1. Yo, Muff, give me da beat!!!

Ok, people, this is KIckAss featuring NY-Gunner (we got Admin in the background___shoutout!!!)

          Let’s do this!!!

          1. He’s a part time footballer who earns a tidy wage each week. As long as he makes at least 1 or 2 appearances a year. That’s good enough for arsenal 😉

            1. In the words of my economics teacher (No, not Wenger): “That’s a universally acceptable definition.”

    1. I don’t understand why people are suggesting moussa Sissokko as a dm?
Is it just down to his appearance the big tall strong black guy? (Vviera like)

Moussa is a good player but is not a dm and far from it.in his 19apparance this year he has managed 5yellows and a red and that’s with playing 16of those games in advanced positioions. His worst performance this season was at dm were he played once and was dreadfull.he also struggled when playing cm on two occasions.he has been excellent when playing the right ATt mid role this season and that’s his position for the national team.

His strengths ; he is very good With the through ball and he is a good dribbler.he likes to keep his passes short.his passing accuracy of 79% suggest that he wouldn’t suit arsenal.

Weaknesses; he is poor in arial duels so he doesn’t utilises his hight advantage.he has very little defensive contributions and he has extremely poor concentration.

Does this sound like the answer to our dm problem ?
      hell no

  2. Sissoko, Wanyama, Khedira or maybe even Schneiderin, any one of them would be a great signing I believe, just what we need in the defensive midfield area.

    1. Sissoko and Khedira aren’t the same type of players as Wanyama, Schneiderlin. Sissoko is essentially a budget Yaya Toure, and Khedira is also more box to box than DM.

    1. Yeah, my bemused son told me that 15 minutes ago – haven’t stopped laughing yet. Just how the f$%k is that possible??

  3. Sissoko & Reid has to be an improvement on Arteta/ Flamini in midfield & BFG/Monreal in defence respectively!
Wenger dithering and wasting time again.
Lowe 2015 Fifa manager of the year…hmmm!

  4. He will improve us but him saying nice things about Arsenal won’t work with Wenger

This summer Jackson Martinez said loads of positive things like he has been Arsenal fan since childhood and he would accept offer from Wenger. Stuff like that. Wenger doesn’t care, unless he really wants somebody.

I’m not positive anymore with Wenger. I believe if I expect Wenger to get someone like Kim Kallstrom, I won’t be too disappointed if he does.

What I am HAPPY about is how well Coquelin is performing. I still want a better DM, however Coquelin is going to help us at the back of midfield. If we got a Top DM Coquelin would be a wonderful back up

    1. When Coq was on loan at the German side last year, was he seriously played as a winger?
I’ve always been a fan of him in the dm position when one of the initial starters was injured. He does put in the work as a back up. But, personally I would not start him on a weekly basis just yet.

  5. We’ve been calling for a proper DM each transfer window – so far none have shown up. So “will we get a DM?” is the ultimate question.

  6. To be quite honest, buying a player is a 3 part deal. If the team doesn’t want to sell, they cannot be bought. Why would Newcastle sell Sissoko in mid season? It makes as much sense as Schneiderlin or Wanyama being sold during the summer after they had already lost 9 players. Just because a team CAN sell a player, doesn’t mean that they will. A player cannot force a sale, not even by putting in a transfer request.

    1. Andy Carroll, Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye sold in respective January windows by Newcastle. Mike Ashley will sell his balls if the price is right.

  7. Flamini learned from the masters (fom Patrick Vieira at Arsenal and Clarence Seedorf at Milan) with no end product to his game. He can clap and motivate all he wants, but he is simply not good enough. Some times you have got to take a leap of faith. We converted a full time AM (Mikel Arteta) to a DM. Moussa Sissoko is a very very very good and an underrated player. He is undoubtedly Newcastles player of the season so far. Just get him.

    1. bullsh#t

Flamini has performed well this season
He has the 2nd highest pass accuracy in the prem this season,2nd best interception per game of any midfielders. He is also a leader a talker on the pitch somthing we lack in the midfield when he isn’t there

  8. Sorry to burst you bubble there will be now Sissoko, Wanyama or Schneiderin.
Winston Reid is Wengers man nice and CHEAP. No big money being spent by Wenger in the transfer window it’s getting near dividend time for the board.

    1. Yea We’ll be seeing probably more 16/17/18/19 year olds coming in rather than first team signings, or old loanee players, who are most likely injury prone.
