Gabriel Martinelli is expected to leave the Emirates this summer as Arsenal continue to strengthen their squad with new signings during the current transfer window.
The Brazilian has been one of the club’s most important players over the last few seasons and remains a highly regarded member of the squad. However, his goal contributions have not been at the desired level for some time, and there are concerns that his performances have not shown the improvement the club had hoped for.
Martinelli faces increased competition
As a result, Christos Tzolis is expected to start matches ahead of Martinelli at the Emirates this season. Although Arsenal still value the winger, he is no longer considered untouchable, and the club is prepared to consider offers if the right opportunity arises.
Martinelli has been available on the market this summer alongside Gabriel Jesus, but there has been very little concrete interest in either player. Despite speculation surrounding his future, no club has yet made a decisive move to secure his signature.
Galatasaray monitoring the situation
According to Gianluca di Marzio, Galatasaray are the latest club considering a move for Martinelli. The Turkish side are currently attempting to sign Rafa Leao from AC Milan, but that transfer has stalled, prompting them to assess alternative options.
The report states that Martinelli has emerged as Galatasaray’s preferred alternative if they fail to complete a deal for the Portuguese forward. Should negotiations for Leao continue to prove unsuccessful, the Turkish giants are expected to approach the Arsenal winger.
Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell Martinelli during this transfer window, provided that the valuation is met. With Galatasaray monitoring the situation and searching for attacking reinforcements, the Brazilian’s future could become one of the stories to watch before the window closes. Whether a formal offer arrives remains to be seen, but Arsenal appear open to the possibility of allowing one of their long-serving attackers to move on if the financial terms are considered acceptable.

Arsenal can in turn buy Osimen who has been offered to Athletico with him prepared to lower his wage demands. We need such a sure striker to succeed. Defense and midfield look good but attack is still shaky with Tsolis also failing to assert himself against a modest Betis seville

In the absence of Saliba, who could be out for “months”, we need a top quality RCB, as I very much doubt if the promising Mosquera is up to the task at this stage in his career.In my opinion our defence is considerably weakened without Saliba and replacing him should be our first priority in this window.As for Martinelli,I’d rather move on Madueke.
I’ve heard it said that Martinelli is more effective in the Brazilian side because of the way the manger plays him.
Does anyone else agree with that statement?.

Derek, I’ve not seen him play for Brazil for a while, so I couldn’t say. How does the manager play him that’s different from Arsenal?

I haven’t seen him play for them much either to be fair. But they say he plays a bit more centrally, whether this is true or not I couldn’t tell you.

Derek, when he came on in the World Cup for Brazil he did play more central and he did look pretty good. Iirc he assisted a goal in that position. He also played more centrally the other night when he came on.

Herr Drier, he usually looks quite good in that central position when he plays there occasionally for us. A few years back, I read somewhere that he was being trained as a striker, but nothing seems to have come of it.
Jax, I remember just after he signed for he did an interview and he said that he had played centrally in a few club games in Brazil but preferred playing put wide on the left.

I can’t remember names but I’ve read a couple of poster’s on here talk about Martinelli and his better performances playing for Brazil.
And they we’re putting it down to the players position.
