Turkish giants in talks for TWO Arsenal players

David Ospina is playing his heart out for his country at the Copa America and helped Colombia to beat Peru in a penalty shoot out to set up a semi final against Alexis Sanchez’s Chile, but back in Europe there are talks on going about where he will be playing next season.

Besiktas sporting director Gokhan Keskin recently confirmed his club’s interest. “Nothing has been agreed on yet but we are targeting Ospina,” he said. The Turkish giants tried in January to tempt Arsenal into releasing the Colombian but Wenger would not let him move in the middle of the season.

One player that Wenger did let leave in the winter was Matthieu Debuchy, who had been moaning continually since losing his place to Hector Bellerin, and most Arsenal fans were glad to see the back of him. I can’t imagine Le Prof wanting him back at the Emirates next season, so it is no surprise that it has been revealed today that the Gunners are also discussing the possibility of Debuchy joining Ospina over in Turkey.

The French international left us in the lurch without a straight replacement if Bellerin got injured in the second half of last season, and he has never been happy about sitting on the bench ever since here covered from his injury- so the sooner Wenger brings in a suitable replacement the better, but I can’t say that I will be happy to see Ospina leave, although he is obviously too good to be sitting on the bench….
