Marc Casado is one of the players Arsenal have been following over the last few seasons, and he is expected to leave Barcelona during this transfer window.
Although he is a highly regarded player, the Catalans are not counting on him ahead of their other midfield stars. The midfielder is therefore set to change clubs this summer, presenting Arsenal with an opportunity to finally secure his signature.
Arsenal have just sold Christian Norgaard and confirmed the signing of Bruno Guimaraes. However, Casado is another player they would love to add to their squad during this window.
Arsenal face competition for Casado
Casado would reportedly be delighted to move to London and continue playing at an elite level in European football. However, Arsenal are facing two serious contenders from the Saudi Pro League in their pursuit of the Barcelona midfielder.
As Barcelona signals that Casado can leave, more clubs are joining the race for his signature this summer. Fichajes report that the midfielder could be heading to the Saudi Pro League, where Al Hilal and Al Ahli are competing to sign him.
The growing interest represents a significant challenge for Arsenal, particularly because the Saudi clubs could offer Casado more money than the Gunners would be able to provide.
Saudi interest complicates Arsenal’s pursuit
Arsenal have maintained an interest in Casado for several seasons, and Barcelona’s willingness to allow him to leave could have created a strong opportunity for the Premier League club.
However, the emergence of Al Hilal and Al Ahli has made the situation considerably more difficult. Both Saudi clubs are now competing for the midfielder, giving him alternative options at a time when his future at Barcelona appears increasingly uncertain.
The competition could prove costly for Arsenal, as the financial power of the Saudi Pro League clubs may give them a significant advantage in negotiations. While Casado remains a player Arsenal would like to add to their squad, the growing competition means securing his signature will be increasingly difficult.
Arsenal must now assess whether they can compete with the offers expected from Saudi Arabia. With Barcelona prepared to let Casado leave, the midfielder’s next destination could depend heavily on which club can present the most attractive overall proposal.

in continuing with arsenal transfer rumours,i wish to state that my old gran is out of contract with her most recent club.she is , what rugby would describe as a hybrid player, she can play any role given to her.personally, i would have her in the centre of midfield as a hard tackling,no nonsense,CAM,or,equally well,she can play LIBERO, just give her the freedom of the park.i think she would benefit this club no end,and, after the game finishes,she will insist on making tea for everybody,and,i mean everybody.she is known as “spurs” burke, but dont let that put you off,it is in reckonition of her very direct tackling skills.manys the broken ankle can testify to this.
