Unai Emery wants top goalscorer that scored against Arsenal and Real Madrid

It can get a bit boring reading the same names being linked with Arsenal football club every single day and so it is refreshing to see a new name pop up on the radar, especially when it does not originate from the tabloids.

According to Sky Sports, we are looking at young Russian striker Fedor Chalov, who plies his trade with CSKA Moscow.

Now, we are not the only ones said to be keen on acquiring the services of the 21-year-old, Monaco and Sevilla are also reported to be interested in him and it is easy to see why.

Chalov was the top scorer in the Russian Premier League last season, knocking in an impressive 15 goals from just 30 appearances, that is a very decent return for the young man.

We do have experience of the lad, he actually scored against us in the Europa League quarter-final second leg back in 2017/18, while this season he was on the scoresheet when CSKA stunned Real Madrid 3-0 in the Bernabeu.

No fee has been mentioned and that is a worry because you just know he will not be cheap, especially when you consider his age and the fact that he has three years left on his contract at CSKA.

On the face of it I must say this is one rumour that I could get excited about, he is young, highly talented and has a nose for goal.

  1. hes a very talented player….great potential

but dont think the fans will accept him cause hes not big name or big tag…..

  2. First would like to thank Admin for the new look of JA (sorry for being late!)We need to add speed to our game and if PEA is leaving, then we would have funds for this lad. He seems to be confidant as he scored against RM this year.
After all the doom and gloom, there is some hope for us with Freddie taking over from Bouldy. Also a lot of young talent linked with us and lots of deadwood moving out/linked to other clubs. fingers crossed, Unai will bounce back next season if gets his targets. From the players linked, he is targeting pace and hence the youngsters.
With the EL loss, nonperforming players have been exposed and the fans seem united that the players have failed the club

  3. I don’t know.
The Russian Premier League is different to the Premier league
But I guess we would at least have Lacazette too

  4. He has decent stats in his last two seasons, but we don’t need this striker type. We need quick and skillful wingers with excellent first touches to score and break through

If Aubameyang or Lacazette leaves, Arsenal require a towering target man that is dominant in the air and can play well as a false nine. We need plan B if Aubameyang, Lacazette and Ozil are unable to break the opposition’s defense, as what they showed many times in EPL and in EL final

A huge monster like Bas Dost can really help us in set-pieces, unfortunately he chose to sign another contract with Sporting. But perhaps we can get Artem Dzyuba cheaply because his contract will expire next year

    1. towering striker formation does not work in modern football even top teams such as city n liver do’nt rely on ths formation what matter’s deadly foward n quality width striker to press, i also smell auba is going to leave..

  5. Rumours all the time. When are actually signing players in shipping the fart brains out.
Partey of AM is my ideal replacement for Ramsey.

  6. We don’t need a striker at all. Rather, we need two Central Defenders and a winger. Go all out for De Ligt and Javi Martinez from Bayern. Give them massive wages. Get in one of Isco,Nabil Fakir, Ryan Fraser. 3 players in. 7 players Out: Ozil, mustafi, elneny, cech, Ramsey, Welbeck,Kos. Move AMN to midfield. Recall Chambers from loan.

  7. I think we should sign Ziyech, get Rabiot (free transfer) and Kristoffer Olsson from Krasnodar. Olsson is better than all Arsenal midfielders and he is a cheap replacement for Ramsey. Get rid of mustafi, xhaka, monreal, ozil, welbeck, elneny, mkhitaryan
