Video – Mustafi header from perfectly placed Pepe free-kick

Mustafi and Pepe combine to score Arsenal’s goal in 1-1 draw with Vitoria.

You have to feel sorry for Shkodran Mustafi, he has had such a bad time of things that he deserved to be a hero. However, it was not to be, Vitoria scored in injury time to deny him his moment of glory.

It was a fine header from a great free-kick from Pepe, who did exactly what he was signed to do, score and create goals. On this occasion, it was an assist and it was a perfect one, beautifully set up for the German to score.

It was not the best of games from an entertainment point of view but for ten minutes at least all that was forgotten.

Despite the disappointment of conceding a late goal both Mustafi and Pepe will have had their confidence boosted.

Anyway, here are a couple of videos from official sources on twitter.

    1. So it seems Sue….. That’s what we get for having no-one currently in the injury room πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜πŸ˜‚

      1. You have to give mustaffi credit, he hasn’t had the best time at arsenal but he puts all his effort in, plays with a big heart every game and unlike xhaka (who also lacks ability) he just plays football and gets on with it. Its a pity he has so many brain farts because there is a good player in there, he just doesn’t have the guille needed at the top.

  1. Omg, Eddie! It’s official – you’re the new Kev πŸ˜‚ Just kidding! Where is Kev anyway??!
Good on Arsene.. how do you think he’ll do?
Oh so do I… 7 again will do very nicely! Gnabry to score 4 again and dump them out! 😝

    1. I think hell do well over there, good football, amazing players, they have a lot of technical good players, and we all know Wenger couldn’t get separated from technical players.
      He’ll for well I bet

      1. Bayern must be desperate, if any of it has a grain of truth in. They are actually going to install a manager of a team not so very long ago, the y humbled 10-2 under his stewardship, i dont think so. They are desperate but they surely aren’t that desperate. Moronino desperate maybe, wenger desperate, i doubt. The old Bayern wanted to win things, i doubt very much they would be thinking wenger would be their salvation. Mugs if they do, i cant see it at all.

        1. Really? If Bayern get Wenger then they’re desperate? Do you know how hateful you sounded there?
We hounded the man out of Arsenal because he lost the plot in his later years with us, So a giant team sees him as their choice and you say it’s desperation?
You cited the 10-2 loss, can you tell me which club had the stronger team in those games?
Can you tell me no tope team should see Pochettino as a good coach because his team lost 7-2 in just a single game?
Yea well, until then, if Bayern goes through with appointing him then you and the rest of your gang who see nothing good about the man can go cry me a river afterwards

  2. Wenger can try get ramsey to Bayern. He just scored for Juventus stealing Ronaldo s freekick goal centimeters from the goal line! Goal to Ramsey! Ha ha ha ha as I though he wont last long at Juventus.
    Ronaldo is pissed. πŸ™‚
Finally something from ramsey after that cup winning gola for Arsenal

    1. Wenger will win the lot at Bayern has proper players to work with will be wanting back at Arsenal after anything is better than Dick Emery!!

  3. Most of comments in the last article would give one the impression that we lost an important game πŸ˜€, but then I don’t blame the commenters for feeling that way…. heck, I share their sentiments.
We can draw a major positive from this though….. Emery has progressed some more….. towards… you know where.

  4. Is Ceballos now on the injury list after he was substituted for having a likely hamstring he sustained in the Guimaneas match?
