Video – Sokratis puts Arsenal one up against Crystal Palace

Sokratis the unlikely first goalscorer against Palace.

If there were murmurings before kick-off that Sokratis was selected then they have been well and truly squashed. The Greek international knocked in his first goal of the season from a Nicolas Pepe corner.

It was a bit of a messy goal and the Palace defence was all over the place. However, the 31-year-old kept his cool in the chaos and duly put the Gunners one up.

Arsenal could not have asked for a better start to the game.

Anyway, sit back and enjoy the video

  1. as soon as xhaka is in starting line up its a 10 man team and no control of midfield … this game is not over …

  2. This is boring indeed. I think players are tired of our moron coach. Time for him to go before it is too late. This is not arsenal ways of playing style

    1. he’s hardly been great recently. I don’t really think it matter who Emery throws on. The players clearly don’t believe in what he is doing and there doesn’t seem to be any pattern to our play. Guendouzi is the only player in the team that actually plays with purpose. Couldn’t tell you what everybody else is doing. Switch the manager and end this dross.

  3. The more time arsenal keep emery, the more damages will be done. It is very glaring that players have lost faith in him and there’s no clarity of which style of football arsenal wants to play (Attacking, defensive, or confusing position…). Over to the fans and the board to make decision. Xhaka, Sokra, Luiz has to step aside for now…
