Video – The Aubameyang screamer that won the goal of the month award

It has been a double celebration for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang winning both the Arsenal player of the month and the Arsenal goal of the month awards.

The goal in question was the screamer against Burnley that won all three points in the first home game of the season.

Dani Ceballos got the assist but in all fairness, Aubameyang did all the hard work cutting in from the left to and unleashing an unstoppable shot.

It has been a great start to the season for the Gabon international, he has hit the ground running and his confidence is sky-high.

He has knocked in three goals from the six goals that Arsenal have scored so far this season and barring injury will be in the running for a second consecutive Golden Boot award.

  1. Aubameyang is the striker we needed when Henry left in 2007.
But for a decade after we had an average Giroud
a one season wonder RVP and Eduardo (who then got injured).
Some how Wenger believed he could create stars out of
Vela Park Bendtner Myaichi Arshavin Chamakh
Podolski Sanogo Girvinho Asano + Wellbeck.
The fact the Kroenekes have spent not even one penny
on players since 2009 has not helped.

    1. RVP was never a one season wonder. He showed his ability anytime he as fit.A more compete and a far better striker than Aubameyang.Lets not lie to ourselves. Its only the stats argument you can use but on watching them we know who is far better
On Eduardo, we will never know because of injury but he had the talent to be better than Aubameyang. His finishing ability alone could have been legendary and some argue it was his injury and Rosicky’s that cost Arsenal the 07/08 EPL.

      1. Van Persie is more of an all-rounder, whereas Aubameyang is better in finishing and faster. Both are also decent on the wings

Regarding his goal against Burnley, I agree with the author. It happened because of his abilities to dribble and finish

    2. RVP wasn’t a one season wonder.
He won the golden boot with us (30 goals) and then went on to help United win the PL the very next season with 26 goals.

He just had a lot of injury

I still hate RVP btw as much as Cashley Cole and Nasri

  2. I expect many goals from our front three, olny if Emery would not be shy by fielding three defensive midfielders at a go. Against spurs the creativity, chance creation was not sufficient, though guendousi helped out. He needs to use cebballos well.

  3. Lovely goal by Auba but I prefer Laca goal against Spurs cos you have to be a deadly striker to score that kind of goal.

That Auba’s goal can be score 8 out of 10 but Laca’s goal is more difficult to score.
