Welbeck now ready to explode for Arsenal?

It is now about six weeks since Danny Welbeck has been an Arsenal player and the heavy fixture list, including two international breaks with England since he signed from Man United have meant that there has not been too much opportunity for Arsene Wenger to work with him too much on the training ground.

Add to that the fact that the 23-year old was very rarely used in the centre forward role before becoming a Gunner and you can understand why the manager has called for Arsenal fans to be patient with him, but Welbeck seems to have settled in to the club much quicker and easier than we could have hoped.

As an Arsenal.com report shows, Danny is really relishing the move to Arsenal and London and that, after the frustration of years being played out of position, if at all, by Ferguson and Moyes at Old Trafford, is perhaps the reason why the forward is already in the goals, with a very impressive seven from just nine games since he signed on the dotted line.

Welbeck said, ““It’s a bit different in London, because obviously I was born and bred in Manchester so that’s a place I know like the back of my hand.

“There were a lot of people in Manchester that I was connected to so it is a bit different coming to London and not knowing as many people. But I have got friends down here and my cousin has been working here for a few years now.

“It is a change for me but something I’m really looking forward to – starting a new adventure.”

It is a shame that Welbeck will not have the creative skills of Mesut Ozil to feed off for a while, because the two seemed to be developing a great understanding. However, Arsenal are hardly lacking on that side of things, with the likes of Wilshere, Cazorla, Alexis, Podolski, Ox and Rosicky. And with the pace of Theo Walcott soon to be added to the mix, I reckon that Welbeck will start to fill his boots on a regular basis. What do you think Gooners?

  1. Its seems that only Walcott has pace in the team….

Welbeck, Sanchez, Oxie, Gnabry, Diaby, Coquelin and Campbell must be pretty slow

  2. Wenger says jack is a no.10,my question is why did he signed ozil? I really feel sorry for ozil because he will play lw when he comes back from his injury

    1. I don’t understand the wilshire is a no.10 fantasy. IMO Dennis Bergkamp was a no.10 I cannot even begin to compare the two. If I had to.liken wilshire to any previous player it would be Bryan Robson the old man united and england captain. Sure wilshire has a little more flair or at least he did 4 years ago, but now with his bursts from deep, if he can add a few goals to his game that is where I see Jack, just hope he doesn’t have the same injury history as captain marvel.

  3. I`m only joking but, reading the comments it seems to me that many fans are so captivated by the word `pace` they expect even the goalkeeper to split the hundred metres in under eleven seconds with a bag of coal on his back. Pace off the mark is essential, running the 100 metres in under eleven belongs to the wingers.

  4. Very worried about todays game monreal cb alongside mert both slow bellerin little experience and not proven yet think hull will come and have a right go at exploiting those weaknesses just can’t see us keeping clean sheet just hope going forward we are on top form we are gona need to score a few to win this hull can’t be underestimated they done best business in transfer market without a doubt and they can seriously hurt us if we are not on top of our game!

    1. This conception that Monreal is slow. Where could it possibly have come from? He may not be Kieran gibbs fast but hes probably faster than Sagna, Debuchy, Chambers. I remember when he first signed for us, fans thought he was a breath of fresh air, now he’s second choice to Gibbs, he’s a slow paced liability. If there’s one thing that winning the Fa cup has shown this season, its that no matter what the team does, our fans just will never be happy. It’s like we’ve forgotten how to be, and as such we thrive in negativity.

      1. Ok we will see today monreal has been roasted by plenty of wide players left for dead on numerous occasions and with regards to negativity what do u expect the manager failed miserably to strengthen the areas that we all knew was needed and we are worse then last season so what is there to be positive about!

  5. danny is a gud young playa and has d ability 2 make a gud career 4 himsef bt nevertheless,we stil nid an A class forward.gud competion is gud 4 playa development n plz sell yaya sanogoal n giroud shud b 3rd choice…kondogbia n bender,a proper left winger n a centre back n we can dream of epl n ucl..

    1. sign Carvalho, Draxler, Reus and Isco too

then our midfield will be the best u23…….very very experience midfield

      Draxler Reus Isco

      Carvalho Kodogbia

    2. @phychem. Sorry but I had to give you a thumbs down, the reason being You are still stuck in annoying early 2000 abbreviation age. It’s so irritating and annoying when people still write full paragraphs / sentences in abbreviation.

    3. Good god mate. It has to be more difficult to spell things as badly as you are. Just type “good” it’s quite easy. Yes. Arsene Wenger should listen to a guy that cannot even hit keys on a keyboard correctly. Even with the players you mentioned were still dreaming of any title because winning titles is a crap shoot.

  6. Jack should be competing with ramsey for b2b and ozil should be competing with carzola.the sad thing is that we have players who can play lw,sanchez can play lw and ox at rw
