Wenger just gave Arsenal star´s England career a HUGE boost

I hope that the Arsenal and England forward Theo Walcott realises that Arsene Wenger has given his international career a massive shot in the arm. And hopefully the pacy 26-year old will consider that during the contract negotiations that could drag on through the summer.

Not only did the Frenchman give Walcott a place in the starting line up for the final two games of the season at the perfect time to bring him to the forefront of Roy Hodgson´s thoughts as he prepares the three lions for a friendly game against the Republic of Ireland and a Euro qualifier against Slovenia, but he played him in the centre forward role.

So there is an excellent chance that Hodgson will hand Theo his 39th cap in Dublin on Sunday and a pretty good chance that he will give the Gunner a chance to strut his stuff in the middle. The England boss would be daft not to after Walcott´s brilliant showings against West Brom and Aston Villa and if he does then Walcott own his club boss a big thank you.

The striker´s England career was looking as if it might be petering out but his club form should be enough to at least give him a chance to rescue it. The absence of Welbeck due to injury and the poor recent form of Raheem Sterling also comes at a great time for Walcott and a couple of good games for England now should have Walcott firmly back in the England set up and that would be good news for Arsenal as well as he would have a happy summer and be in perfect shape for the start of next season.

    Formidable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Haha I thought you wanted Welbz, Walcott, Wilshere, Ox, Gibbs and Chambers gone?? Or do you change your mind daily?

      1. He’s not. He just mocked us. No way the real Hafiz will thought Wellbeck, Jenko, even Ox are formidable.

        1. Walcott – Welbeck
          Sanchez – Cazorla – Ozil – Ox
          Gibbs – Koscielny – Gabriel – Bellerin
          Ospina

          THE ATTACKING ARSENAL XI

    2. don’t worry……the same Hafiz who puts up a formidable England team, will be the same hafiz to slaughter em all in the middle of a pitch

  2. I think people have forgotten he scored 14 goals and assisted 10 goals in 32 league games before his injury. Hopefully he hits his peak next season and helps us to the title.

  3. We’ve got a huge dilemma here,

Theo/welbz/giroud/sanogo/poldi are all forwards (theo wants CF as well) so what we going to do here?

    1. Sanchez, Akpom, Gnabry, Wellington, Campbell, Ox as well!!
      My personal predictions.
1 New versatile forward brought in
      Campbell, Ryo and Podolski sold
      Gnabry, Sanogo/Akpom, Wellington loaned.
Ox, Theo, Giroud, Welbz, Sanchez, Akpom/Sanogo and a new forward competing for our three positions (Maybe Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Ozil as well! depending on our midfielders and forwards form). With cup games and Wenger opting mostly to primarily sub his forwards, I personally think that all of the above will play a part.

      1. Yupe. Even if you offload our surplus of requirement ,it’s still not easy to decide. Made a deep question on Arsene’s summer plan. Does he will bring another (world class one) striker and winger?
Anyway, he must buy one CDM to pair Coquelin, and one DLP to pair Santi. Those two men are vital and don’t have equal back up on the team.
