Wenger, Ramsey and Gazidis to be reunited at Milan? A conspiracy theory…

So it seems that Arsene Wenger is going to be reunited with the former Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis at the Italian giants AC Milan in January, as it is being reported today….

Now the speculation seems to be over as France Football has confirmed rumours that the manager of Arsenal for 22 years is set to join the North London club’s former Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis at AC Milan.

After Elliott Management, the hedge fund founded by US billionaire Paul Singer, seized control of the Serie A club, pledging to bring stability, Ivan Gazidis left a decade as CEO at The Gunners in September where he has helped the team to unparalleled financial success to take over the helm in Milan.

This news makes you wonder if this was all arranged during the turbulent months while we were all waiting for news on whether Wenger would see out his contract at the Emirates, and it also makes you wonder if Aaron Ramsey is also part of this conspiracy, as it was under Wenger and Gazidis that the Welshman was allowed to run down his contract at the Emirates.

It is interesting to note that Wenger told Bild last month: “I believe [I will] start again on 1 January. I don’t know [where] yet,”

And of course Ramsey could be sold for a nominal fee in January as well. Could it be that other members of the Arsenal management team knew of this arrangement when they took Ramsey’s contract off the table when Gazidis left the building?

About the same time as Wenger announced he would start work in January, Calciomercato in Italy reported that Milan were also keen on Ramsey, they said…..

..A name that has been long linked to Rossoneri is Aaron Ramsey, who will not renew his expiring contract with Arsenal.

The player could join Milan for free in June, however, according to Corriere dello Sport, the club management is pushing for a move in January, since the player would be available in the Europa League, despite already featuring for Arsenal in the group stage.

Are all these ‘rumours’ going to come together in January? I think we will find out very shortly….

  1. Yes, it seems a conspiracy theory if it comes to be real. let them to reunite as they wish. These three men are leaving with the past. Personally, I am very happy for their departure except for Gazdiz, whom I had a little hope on him as compared to the other two.

  2. I sincerely wish all o them the best.I want Ramsey to thrive at Milan I have seen Milan a few times this and Ramsey is one of the things they need most

  3. I fail tounderstand why this should bother our club in any way whatsoever.

    Wenger has gone.
    Gazidis has gone.
    Ramsey is going.

    Arsenal Football Club still here.
    Emery here.
    3 musketeers here.

There all facts, the rest is rumour and speculation…can’t wait for Thursday though!!!

  4. How is it that Ramsey would be able to play for AC Milan in the Europa league? I remember Aubamayang couldnt play for us in the Europa League after arriving from Dortmund in January after being rostered for European competition but never even playing…….

      1. Otherwise we would have won and been in the CL eh Sue?
Yet again I feel screwed just for being an Arsenal fan!!!
I have got this feeling that Ozil will produce some real magic against Wolves and to think his commitment / skill / technique was being questioned.
Read you have tickets for the Wolves game….hold on to your hat, the atmosphere will be electric!!!!

        1. It’s typical… if only Auba could have played!!
Yes I’m excited Ken… really looking forward to it. I also want to go to the Carabao cup against the spuds….
I hope you enjoy it too Ken (& against Sporting ?)

  5. Funny how Wenger to a job at a club where he won’t be immediately fired when his old school tactics are found out. And if he made an arrangement for Rambo, then AC Milan can have him! But pay is first!

  6. If it does happen I wish them well. I always wish leaving Arsenal players well with a couple of exceptions, Cole and Van Persie.

Emery has got us buzzing again, and I don’t only mean the players, so lets look forward.

  7. I would be impressed if Wenger goes to Milan. He seems so not cut out for a job like that. A job that requires results and a club league based on defensive solidity. One would think Wenger could not hold that job for 12 months. Yet he takes the challenge. He is either, what many thought, oblivious to his own shortcomings, or going to produce one of the greatest career revivals in sports history.

I am looking forward either way. I seriously hope for him he can pull it off.
