Hopefully not for peanuts. It should be payback time for West Ham considering what they made us pass through while negotiating for Declan Rice.
I’ve no idea what Arsenal will get for him. A potential problem over the size of the fee would appear to be general lack of serious interest in him other than, possibly, West Ham now.
It could come down to a decision between selling him for perhaps less than hoped for (but his “market value”, nevertheless) or keeping him/loaning him out (again), which isn’t very satisfactory. Perhaps Berta will produce some transfer magic.
I wouldn’t have thought any PL club would be interested given his stature. Creative player but just gets bullied off the ball.
That said, I hope he finds his “happy place” where he can express himself in a less physical league.
Fabio Viera recovered from a serious groin injury which included a surgery and months of recovery. Until that point, he proved to be a valuable contributor to Arsenal. At the same time he had to compete with a other outstanding player, which, the injury made impossible. In all fairness to Fabio, he entered FC Porto at an erratic time with two different coaches during the season and a team that under achieved. Whoever takes a chance on Fabio, has a real winner!
