Which Arsenal will turn up against Everton? A 5-0 win or an embarrassing loss?

You never know what Arsenal will serve up in the next game. by Konstantin Mitov

So it’s Everton next and honestly after a shocking performance at Swansea and the coming game vs Tottenham, you cannot afford not to perform, but this is Arsenal, everything is possible here and I will not be surprised if we destroy Everton 5:0 or we lose the game due to defensive mistakes.

The first thing I want to see is Cech and Xhaka dropped. Those 2 players individual mistakes have cost us a lot of points and I would be really depressed if both start, but Wenger will start them both almost for sure. I want to see consequences for bad performances, because there have been many.

And while I am excited to see Aubameyang and I can’t wait to see him run past enemy defences to put the ball in the net and then do a somersault, but I wonder if Arsene might ruin Auba, just like Lacazette is struggling now.

If you see most of Pierre’s goals for Dortmund, they are tap ins! It means we need personnel to create chances and I think that Lacazette suffers from the same issue. Remember Lacazette was the 5th most prolific goalscorer in Europe’s top leagues for the past few seasons and he’s struggling here and I don’t think it’s because he can’t find the net.

But the major issue for me is the defence. I even heard people say, they would have preferred a defender instead of Aubameyang, and while I won’t go that far as I am pretty happy with our new striker, I get the point. You see we went up against Bournemouth, Watford and most recently Swansea and yet we lost all 3 games.

Those 9 points alone make up the Champions league right now and we will not make it through the league with our defensive record, because there are no signs we will fix it. There is not a single proper DM in this team and the closest thing to it was Coquelin, who was sold to Valencia.

Tomorrows game will be really interesting if one Theo Walcott, who somehow rediscovered his form at Everton, runs past our defence and puts it in the net. It’ll pile more misery on a manager who could well start Alex Iwobi again and this will be just the icing on the cake with Xhaka and Cech.

Tomorrow’s game should see us focused, because all the transfer things are done and the players who are still here should be motivated enough to get us past Everton, but with Arsenal you never know. But this won’t show if anything’s changed. Our trip to Wembley to see Spurs though definitely will!

    1. Wenger out! Why?y r d players not usually scolded? Over d last 5seasons who is mostly rated;o’zil or de brune? Sanchez or sane? Lacazette or morata? Can’t d players improvise?Wenger has so deficiency but not to d extent of condemning him.

  1. According to Wenger, Aubameyang and Welbeck will not play against Everton, while Wilshere’s availability is still doubtful. This would be a more confident Everton, as opposed to the one Arsenal trashed at the Goodison Park.

If Arsenal still dilly-dally with the ball in the middle like when facing Swansea, expect Walcott to hit us from a quick counter-attack. This boy knows Arsenal very well and it would be better to use a more direct attacking approach to pin him (and Everton’s fullbacks) down in their own area.

Our tall target man is still sick, but Lacazette can fight for air duels and the attacking midfielders behind him (Ozil and Mkhitaryan) could pick up the ball if he loses.

  2. Xhaka, Cech, Iwobi, Ramsey

Start those 4 and we lose period. 3 midfielders without discipline; 1 GK who is past sell by date.

Ospina in goal, Wilshere and ElNeny (ugh), and rather a sickly Auba than a healthy Iwobi.

Fingers crossed, game 2-1 either way; not confident enough to say who is on top.

Park 4 at the back, please.
    Chambers, Kos, Mustafi, Sead/Monreal.
Stay back dont attack, defensive focus, trust talent in front of you.

    1. Ramsey’s win ratio in the team versus out of the team is higher than Wilshere’s. You lot can barely make a half decent point. Always talking without proof and the crazy thing is you believe it.

  3. …………….Matt Macey
    Bellerin…Koscielny…Mustafi…Monreal
    …………………Elneny
    ………Maitland………..Wilshere
    Ozil………………………………Mhkitaryan
    ……………..Lacazette
I don’t think Wenger will start Auba

      1. I think that Ospina should be picked, I just wanted to give Macey a Chance. Anyway Wenger would not choose Maitland because he loves Xhaka, Freaking Wenger.

  4. Please don’t play Cech & Iwobi…. they both really need some time on the bench. Cech has been awful lately
If Auba is over his illness I’d love to see him start, I can’t wait to see him play! COYG

  5. “… but with Arsenal you never know”… “but with Arsenal you never know”… keyboard stuck, Konstantin, or you just suffer from your usual syndrome which is called SSDD (same … different day) – you fill in the blank. That same Swansea team that beat us, beat Pool a week before. The same Bournemouth team that beat us, humiliated Chelsea last week. So it’s not with Arsenal that you never know, it’s with all the teams in the English Premier League. That’s what makes it the most unpredictable, and entertaining. We’ll find our scoring form again, I’m sure, and we’ll fix defensive mistakes. We still have a shot at top 4, and we’re still in two other competitions. Not all is lost, you know. This January was a great start, and I’m sure we’ll build on it come summer time. A little more positivity goes a long way but you wouldn’t know anything about it, would you?
