Which of Man Utd’s unwanted 8 should be Arsenal transfer targets?

The bad news for Arsenal fans on the transfer front right now, along with the usual frustration about the seeming inactivity on the part of Arsene Wenger and our club, is that the hated pairing of Jose Mourinho and Manchester United are spending big money on what appear to be some very good players like Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic.

According to many reports in the football media the Old Trafford club could also be about to smash the transfer record to sign their old youth player Paul Pogba from Juventus, which would be a big concern for Arsenal and all the other Premier League clubs.

In order to do this, however, The Sun is reporting that Mourinho is going to offload as many as eight members of the current United squad and so perhaps the Gunners could take advantage of this and secure the transfer of players that Wenger may have previously seen as impossible to get.

The players the report actually mentions are Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Juan Mata, Marcos Rojo, Memphis Depay, Adnan Januzaj and Daley Blind so do you think any of these United players should now be on the transfer radar of the Arsenal boss?

  1. Januzaj could be good to cover wings but he needs to be a lot more discipline.
Schneiderlin would be a good acquisition but we already have Elneny and Xhaka who I think are better.
Juan Mata is just one we should get. Really good in creating chances and isn’t bad in finishing too.

    1. De Druyne and Lukaku is also throwaways from the special one and I wouldn’t mind them in our team.

  2. Juan Mata, isn’t he meant to be an Arsenal player to start with? However, if I’m Chelsea boss I’ll try and sign him back.

  3. Just imagine ?

    RVP
    Sanchez Cazorla Nasri
    Xhaka Fabregas
    Monreal Koscielny Mertesacker Bellerin
    Cech

  4. NONE!!!

If they are not good enough for Man Utd, we don’t need them.

We deserve better, that is all.

  5. Memphis Depay, Adnan Januzaj , blind and a name not mention Blackett, the two first name mention if put with the right manager to nuture them, could be in the 100s of thousands millions bracket in a year or two. Both players are wonderful talent and on their day can take apart teams, Depay has lost confidence, similarly Januzaj the right team and it would blossom nicely. Blind and Blackett are defensive options i think any one of them could do a job for arsenal. i would rather Blackett he has a little experience already in the league and a better option than the Bolton youngster, we could start developing an english pairing of CB

  6. Daley Blind – he could replace Nacho at left back having played that position at Ajax and provide back up for Koscielny and Gabriel or even as defensive midfield cover

  7. Id say some of them might end up at Tott, Liv, Eve, Sou, Swa etc. If they get shopped around in England Id say they are the likely destinations. I wouldn’t want any of them, I think we have better in the position they play. Mata is probably the stand out one, but he is useless at the gritty work, so I wouldn’t want him. I don’t think Klopp will want him either, Id say he’ll move back to Spain or over to Italy. Schneiderlin is the next one, he looked really good not long back. But we have gotten a similar player who is hopefully better ..Xhaka. Depay, I wouldn’t write him off just yet. Van Gaal doesn’t give his players much freedom, like with mourinho. He might look good playing in an open playing side, like how we play that way, and like how it is in Holl. But I knew very little of him before he moved there, and still no nothing much. So I couldn’t say one way or the other whether he makes it, and I would not take him over the wingers that are on the market ..Draxler, Turan. Daley Blind, too small for CB, and wouldn’t want him in CM. The rest are not worth speaking about.

  8. I can’t see Mourinho allowing any of his players to go to us or any other direct rivals. We are talking about a man that wouldn’t even allow Demba Ba to go to us on loan despite having no intention to use him in his squad. He is still probably bitter about the board overriding his decision and allowing Petr Cech to sign for us.
