Could Arsenal’s current attackers benefit?

It won’t be exciting to say, but managing your resources isn’t just about spending money, it’s also about getting the best out of what you currently have.
Mikel Arteta might feel that he would be unlucky not to be able to work with the likes of Odegaard, Havertz and Saka for as long as he did last season.
If they can stay fit, you can use Eze and Madueke more as options for the left side.
It’s too early to say if Tzolis, at this level, should be starting every week, meaning Eze and Madueke need to start being more consistent.
Eze has had individual moments but not enough, while whatever side Madueke plays on, you know he will beat his man with his pace before running the ball out of play.
Could Arsenal’s youngsters take their opportunity?
It’s more likely that one of our youngsters is the main beneficiary if there is less competition in attacking areas.
If Eze and Madueke spend more time playing on the left, it frees up room for more game time for Dowman and Nwaneri.
Dowman is only 16, so there would be less expectation on him to take advantage of a space in the team freeing up, but it could be a now-or-never season for Nwaneri.
His boss has already said ideally he wants to keep the teenager but wants to be fair to his development and ensure he can give him the game time he needs.
It’s believed the 19-year-old isn’t receptive to another loan unless it is in England, where he could prove to his employers that he can handle Premier League football.
By Wednesday morning, Trossard and most likely Martinelli and Jesus won’t be your competition, so now is the time to grab your opportunity.
Should the Premier League winners be weakening their attack?
With the money made in the last 12 months, should the priority be reducing the wage bill in the forward area?
Would that leave you questioning the ambition?
That debate can wait.

Based on tonight, it looks like Eze has laid down a marker. He looked a danger every time he got on the ball, holding it well, dribbling with pace very well.
It looked like proper left forward contribution.
Yes made a difference, was focused. One game though. Been very inconsistent since joining.
Maybe, start of second season it just clicks now, and Eze gets on a roll just doing over and again what he done tonight in a run of Prem games? It would make a huge difference having Sakaesque ball control and trickery Eze showed tonight from both wings going forward.

I 100% agree our attack has been diminished – especially when we lost Trossard, who was very reliable for us both in terms of contribution and lack of injuries. The gaffer seems to have lost faith in Gyokeres, presumably because of his technical shortfalls, so would be negligent not to reinforce in attack.
Yes. Gyokeres. Anyone else find it odd Gyokeres has been given so few minutes? 🤷♀️
Is he going to be used part exchange in huge signing on last moment?

Two straight games, no minutes for Gyokeres. And Havertz clearly didn’t have his finishing boots with him tonight as well. What do you make of it.
One player who always comes on and makes a difference? Dowman and not even on the bench tonight? Which when we have a full squad, the bench and who is on it could be a headacher.
This is what I couldn’t understand, apparently he’d been taken off the bench for Konza …. How many more defenders do we need FGS, its attackers were missing.

All our subs were defensive, shoring us up to cling on, leading Nevill to drone on Arsenal can’t kill off games in counter attack as they don’t have the players to run in behind.

Havertz as our main striker as to be a joke right?A top Premier striker has to get at least 15 goals a season and there is no way Havertz will get anywhere near that totally. What did Gyokeres do so wrong in his first season?

Gmv8 and Reggie, couldn’t agree more. Dowman or some similar player is what we need to create something unpredictable for the opposition defence to deal with. For this game due to Masquero s injury, Konsa’s services were required but had Villa managed a goal we would have been in panic mode with no way out.
