Who has signed Yaya Toure? Has he joined Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham? The bookies say Arsenal

Yaya Toure’s ongoing search for a new club after leaving Man City as a free agent this summer looks to be over, with Arsenal a very possible destination for the veteran midfielder. Despite being 35 years old he is very keen to continue his career in the Premier league, and according to his agent, Dimitry Seluk, Yaya has passed a medical at a top London club.

“@YayaToure has passed a medical in London,” Seluk wrote. “Yaya is close to signing a new contract.”

West Ham were strongly linked with a move given Toure’s relationship with new manager Manuel Pellegrini from their time together at City, but Seluk made it clear that it is only a big club that Toure would join, which would appear to make it between Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham. He said: “It’s not West Ham, 100%,” Seluk added. “Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him.”

Back in May when Toure announced he was looking for a new club, his agent said: “Yaya is fit and desperate to prove he’s still the best central midfielder in the Premier League,”

“He’s happy to accept a one-year deal to stay in England. And if his club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half his wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately, with no compensation.”

So it is possible that Arsenal could have signed him cheaply, and according to the bookies, the Gunners are the very hot favourites to get the deal done. We have to admit that if he is still as god as ever he would be a great addition to the squad, even if it just to play in the Europa.

What do you think? Do Arsenal need him?

  1. Interesting signing if,true. Especially since he stated Yaya would play for pound a week to prove a point.

What about Lascelles or Tarkowski for CB?

  2. His agent said he’s a champion so he wont go to West Ham, so makes me think why would he also go to Spurs? HAHA so maybe i am wrong…… LOL

  3. i would take old man Yaya to big head money grabbing Ramsey atleast for one year till I can offload ramsey

  4. We don’t NEED him. But if he comes cheap, why not? His experience could be huge for the youngsters.

  5. Yaya Toure was a very talented midfielder when he was much younger, but his work ethic has decreased drastically as he is getting older

I’m sure Emery doesn’t want another Ozil-like midfielder in his squad, as he cannot expect Yaya Toure to press like Guendouzi, Ramsey or Maitland-Niles. Unless if Emery never paid attention to how the current Yaya Toure plays

I think Yaya Toure is headed to Crystal Palace or Fulham

  6. He hasn’t passed a medical at a London club. He has passed a medical in London. He could be going to any club in any country.

  7. How do you guys see this team I have come up with???

    Leno

    Yedlin Lascelles Mavrapanos Kolasinac

    H. Costa Doucoure Torriera Zaha

    Lacazette Aubameyang

Good defenders that know how to defend with the inclusion of yedlin and lascelles(both from Newcastle)…i really like them and they are cheap to acquire

Great balance in midfield with torriera and doucoure.. Two hardworking players ready to put their body knows line to defend.. Nowadays doucoure has improved his passing abilities….we can get him from Watford

Great fast wingers…. Helder costa(wolverhampton wanderers) could be the left footed singer we have being crying for.. He is so intelligent with his runs… ..and with Zaha bombarding from the other wing… Hmm… Won’t talk much on that one..it is going to be mouth watering

Two deadly strikers in aubameyang and lacazette…. Their records speak for themselves….and with terrific wingers and hardworking midfielders behind them. They could flourish

We don’t need to spend over 200m to improve our team….. Our club should understand this

    1. @Chiza-I’m guessing that to buy those five players would cost around £200m.Where do you think the money is coming from to but them?

  8. I would love yaya. He’s prolific and if Milner is still as good as ever, why can’t Yaya be, especially considering he was the best midfielder in the prem only a couple of years ago. I’d take 35 yr old Yaya over Xhaka any day of the week

  9. Really!? Chiza!? How is this team better than ours…. scratch that I actually think it is worse…
On the yaya toure situation I don’t know how he would fit the pressing game. .and man is old….but got skills….but hey…I would take him over xhaka anyday….and could help improve guendouzi….

    1. The most sensible post on here.

What made him a great player were his surging tuns from midfield, his legs have gone, along with his desire, no top team needs him, but on the other had, I’ve just seen Emery buying a birthday cake in Waitrose.

  10. So if Nelson is going to Hoffehiem…then it follows that arsenal bought yaya toure…hes a good backup option for arsenal.

  11. yahaya Toure is a BETTER Payer any day. people are not seeing the best in him in recent time due to his inability to get playing time under Pep. Yahaya Toure inclusion in our team will makes sence and will help our team greatly. After all, we have lots of competitions at hand.To reduce boredom and stress from other players, he’s addition is not a bad idea

  12. hope not. I love Yaya, but he’s not committed as he once was and would probably treat it like a vacation. 100% committed players only.

  13. He was top class but the battery has run dry.Lascelles would be an improvement on our current firsts pick centre backs .

  14. ITS JUST A STORY FOR SELLING MAGAZINE OR NEWS PAPER OTHERWISE TRANSFER MARKET IS CLOSED AND EVERY ONE KNOWS THIS VERY WELL.
