Why another Arsenal FA cup trophy may trigger Wenger exit

Now that Arsenal have booked a place in the FA cup final once again, with the showpiece match against Antonio Conte and his Chelsea team set to take part after the final Premier League games of the season have all been played, there is a good chance that us Gooners will have to wait for another month or so to find out whether Arsene Wenger is going to be the Arsenal manager again next season.

There have been a lot of theories put around about what may play part in the Frenchman’s decision and even whether it is completely in his own hands anymore or if the Arsenal board might play the major role. Wenger himself has said that he has made his decision and we will find out soon, but he also suggested it would be very soon about a month ago and we are no closer to knowing, so I think there is still an element of doubt.

Everything could hinge on what happens between now and the end of the EPL season or even until the final whistle of the FA cup final is blown and I have a feeling that another FA cup trophy for the club and our boss to celebrate could trigger the departure of Arsene Wenger, especially if it is preceded by the failure of the Gunners to finish in the top four.

That would give the prof the chance to go out on a high after the league disappointment highlighted the idea that the club needs a shake-up. Do you think that cup success could spell the end for our long serving but under fire manager?
