Why are Arsenal fans even believing the Dembele rumours?

Of all the hundreds of Arsenal transfer rumours going around, the most ridiculous one I have heard so far is that we are trying to get Ousmane Dembele to join us from Barcelona. Just the fact that Barca paid over 100 million for the young Frenchman is a very clear indication that he is well out of our League.

And as for a possible loan move, can you believe that Arsenal would even pay his loan fee? That would probably be enough to buy another player. But aside from all that, the Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has told reporters: “Dembele will go nowhere. He and [Philippe] Coutinho are a big investment for us.

“They are very important to our project and we expect a lot from them.

“Coutinho in the last four months has been very active in the team but Dembele is a very young player and talented and we expect great things. Next seasons will be different. It’s not easy to play at Barca in your first year because the style of football is quite different from at other teams.”

“Some players will come, others will go, that’s normal.

“But there’s no doubt that, without naming names because a lot of them are negotiating now with the club, new players will arrive.”

So it is very obvious that Dembele is not going anywhere after such a massive investment on bringing him in. And as to why the media are getting away with even pretending that Arsenal are trying to bring him in, that is just taking the mickey out of us.

Wake up Gooners we are being taken for mugs!

  1. Rumours are the dishonest lifeblood of football media sites when nothing of “publicly known” interest seems to be happening. In this switched on world so many choose to live in 24/7 – or die of boredom (as they, immaturely, think) – we get what we “ask” for. If there was no market, no service would exist. Equally true in almost any walk of life. Addiction needs feeding and an honest person will not blame the feeder but, if they care , which mostly they do not, they would try to cure the self addiction. Ultimately , we have fee choice to be addicted or not to be.

  2. Desperate for quality signings. It’s about as likely as Forsburg coming in. I’d swap Ramsey for Forsburg or Golovin in a heartbeat. 10 years free roaming and Ramsey now. to become a disciplined midfielder?

If Emery determined about aggressive pressing defensively, and positioning relative to having possession or not, i question how it will go over.

Ozil, Ramsey, and Xhaka as a midfield unit works half of the time. Instilling discipline for pressing and positioning is hell of a task. Better luck teaching cats to bark.

Gotta mention Fellani though, wow. Why are we even considering talking to him? This rumor more ridiculous than Dembele nonsense.

Then again Fellani is 30, so it does fit with our trending transfer business.

Hard to be patient when activity lately about as useful as buying farts as an investment.

    1. Fellaini is a beast we can do with one in the squad and I do belive his a good player with the right coach

  3. Because we actually want to believe that th club members get spend in the same way as they flees the fans out of money

  4. This is what happens in football all the time, the press put two and two together, and come up with 73!

The only reason we’re getting linked with Dembele, is because of the whole Aubameyang, Mislintat, Dortmund connection. It’s just lazy journalism, because they’re ignoring the facts that Arsenal are NEVER paying £80/90 million for a WC player, let alone Dembele who is only a prospect! The fact we’re not in the CL, and we haven’t been considered a “top club” for many years now, and that if Barcelona do let him leave, it will have to be a sale rather than a loan, to recoup his fee, plus the likely Griezmann signing, and the Camp Nou expansion. Barcelona have to sell at some point!

I would love him at Arsenal, as we do need a winger, but DM, CB, and GK HAVE to be the priorities this summer.

  5. We want to BELIEVE in the Club.Thats probably why we are all so wrapped up in the rumour mill.We would all love the Club to spend £80m+ on Dembele but realistically is Kronke likely to sanction that type of spending when we spent over £100m on Lacazette and Aubameyang in the last two transfer windows?I think not but it would send a statement out of our ambitions if we did

    1. Like you said we just got strikers one good and the other just shy of world class we need a goalkeeper first and one or two in defence, I realy think we should play 3-5-2 it suits our squad and the way we play with wing backs always cought in the wrong end of the pitch on counter attack

  6. What a question. And i can’t believe admin could post this article when most articles here during transfer madness are rumour based. It is our fault now, how ironic.

  7. Bergwijn is more likely to be our winger signing bcoz he’s £15/20mil young and will have low wages but I like the look of him and he’s skills is what we lack like running at players and beating them one on one!
Pavard the French 22yr who plays rb or cb could be the guy who’s stalling our lichtsteiner transfer coz if we sign Pavard will have cover at right back so no need for a 34yr rb! Pavard and yacine Adli are top prospects from France and I’d be happy to get both of them along with Nzonzi or decoure or both
Leno might be going to Napoli so we need to find a gk solution!

  8. It is beyond my understanding how anyone would think we would sign him. He just went to Barcelona amid several confrontations, spent just a year and now Arsenal are going to buy him? Can Arsenal actually spend 80m on him.

  9. Apparently Wenger left with the collective common sense of most Arsenal fans.
Sven and Raul are suddenly magicians who can sign anyone they choose.
While we are at it, why don’t we ask Sven and co to sign Messi (Raul connections) and Lewandoski (Sven’s connection)

    1. Abel, what Arsenal fans hope for is that the trinity of Unai, Sven and Raul address the DM, CB, GK and winger issues. One would expect that they are looking at players of good value; these may be younger players with potential or older experienced players on free transfers. The media have to wright about something and jump on every rumour.
As far as Dembele goes Arsenal fans are letting their ambitions get carried away without consideration of Kroenke and the board’s “business model”.

  10. In another news, fellaini is in negotiations with another top epl club. I’m panicking right now ?

  11. in my opinion, i blame any site, newspaper, or whatever rumour mill they want to be called, for people believing these ridicilous rumours. perhaps , if , this great site stopped spreading these rumours i think it would make the site even better. i know the name of thwe site is justarsenal, so wwe should only be concerned with arsenal NEWS !.until it is concrete news then the authors of this great site should desist from helping to spread these very rumours.on the one hand this site spreads rumours just like any other site , and on the other hand, articles are being writen denouncing ther spread of same rumours. now, i am a bear of very little brain , so, i can tell you that i am very confused . anybody else feel this way ?.

    1. If it about Arsenal it will be on justarsenal. Who knows what’s true until it’s confirmed. But some rumours are just a little far fetched to say the least….

  12. my point exactly mr.admin . unless it is actually confirmed then you should not publish it , thus your page would be even further ahead of the rest , and, you will gain a fantastic reputation for being a purveyor of the truth only .but who am i to suggest to your good self on how to run your page. this is not a complaint, just an observation . all i am saying is that i hate reading ridicilous rumours, it seems to bring the page down a bit .

    1. It’s all part and parcel of the game without roumers we the supporters will get board, roumers are like heroin to us whether true or fals keeps us high

      1. hahahahaha, you are absolutely correct mr.admin . you dont wish to see bored readers i guess.i ooften wonder do sites like this get so much per click , could that be possible. i know nothing about the internet , so i dont know the workings of it . is there a prize at the end of the day for getting fans to click on stories i often ask myself. as of yet, i have been unable to reply to my own question , hahahahaha.

  13. Dembele to Arsenal? Why are we even discussing it?

Completely off topic, Arsene Wenger, on a guided punt in Cambridge with his daughter, looked about 10 years younger than he did on the last day of the EPL.

Whatever his faults, he is a good man and I wish him well in his life after Arsenal.

        1. Second that, just wished everyone realised it before the club supporters split ranks.

    RABIOT
    RICARDO CENTURION

  15. Whats with the hate it is pretty logical. If Barcelona signs Griezman, I wouldn’t be suprised if they let Dembele go. We have also signed Sanchez and Ozil, not to mention Miki, Pierre because of Sven who has strong links with Dembele.

Anything is possible, but the ball is not in our court.
