Why Arsenal Fans Should Stop Protesting and Get Behind the Team!

Why Arsenal Fans Should Stop Protesting and Get Behind the Team! by AT

As a result of Arsenal’s dismal start to the new campaign and following back-to-back Premier League defeats at the hands of Swansea City and Manchester United, the pressure is once again mounting on the Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. As is the norm if the Gunners are doing badly, the group of Arsenal fans known as the ‘Wenger Out Brigade’ are out in full voice and are calling for the Frenchman’s head. But this time, the anti-Wenger forces seem to be stronger than ever.

Now while I am in no way a part of the opposing ‘Wenger Knows Best’ Brigade, I have to say that Arsenal fans calling for Wenger to be sacked are out of their minds. There is no way we are going to get another quality manager who is going to join us almost halfway into the season and take us towards the title. Let’s face it, the likes of Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola aren’t gonna quit their respective jobs to come and save Arsenal’s season, or would you rather prefer Steve Bould to take over as the interim manager?

What I’m trying to say is Arsene Wenger will be our manager at least until the end of the season, whether we like it or not. In order to replace him, we need to have a world-class manager ready to take over, which we don’t at the moment. So in my opinion, all these anti-Wenger movements and imminent protests are pointless, he is not going to be sacked even if we find ourselves in the relegation zone. So instead of pointless protests dividing the Arsenal fanbase into two, what we really should be doing is getting behind the team and help them see the season out.

Quite honestly, I do agree that Arsene Wenger has lost it a little bit and I do agree that the club could do with some new ideas and possibly a new philosophy, but the reality of the situation is that there will be no change at least until the end of the season. So until then, let’s stand united and support our team.

  1. We’re not protesting against the team, but against the board and the manager (and I don’t know if those two terms are the same person but they could be).
It’s not the team’s fault we have a manager that fully relies on a standard, outdated, predictable system that obviously doesn’t suit the players we have (esp the 3 defending players) and Wenger really should’ve seen this coming, the majority of fans did at least. Not saying Wenger should be sacked immediatly but if he doesn’t come into action in January to fix this WITH QUALITY NOT PENNY-PINCHING FOR SECOND RATE PLAYERS he should probably be given more time this season.

  2. Only a small minority of people want wenger sacked right his second. Most rational fans understand he is not an elite manager anymore and should go at the end of the season.

And Stop using the phrase ‘Get behind the team’

Who is booing the team during the game? nobody. WE ARE ALL BEHIND THE TEAM.

  3. Sack wenger now and leave Bould to take care of the team till end of season…cos he will do far better than Wenger and to b honest stop all dis nonsense topic “stop protest” u sound AKB to me ….we don’t mind rioting as well….we fans have to do what we have to do to kick wenger out…..and if shit remains we invite the paid men….Wenger Out now
