Why Arsenal WILL get going with Galatasaray win

Arsenal have huffed and puffed so far this season without getting the results that we have deserved. But apart from that terrible and lacklustre performance in the Champions League at Borussia Dortmund, the Gunners have looked better as the season has progressed and we look like we are very close to hitting our straps.

But there is a growing injury list to concern us and a huge Premier League away game at Chelsea this weekend, which we must not lose. So I think it is great for the players that Galatasaray are coming to the Emirates on Wednesday night, because the Turkish club should be there for the taking and a morale boosting victory is just what the doctor ordered.

Galatasaray are currently struggling and sitting in fourth place in the Turkish league, which is hardly filled with quality. They were also very lucky to rescue a point against Anderlecht in their opening group game. And that was played in front of their vociferous home crowd, where they are usually a much tougher opponent than away from home.

I know that Arsenal are a bit stretched in the central midfield and defensive areas, but we should get away with this against Galatasaray, while our attacking players like Alexis, Ozil and Welbeck should have more than enough to take the points. If it was not for a very good defensive display and a bit of luck from Tottenham, the Gunners would have won another derby on Saturday. I doubt the struggling Turks will be able to hold us out as well.

What do you think Gooners?

  1. I think we will win. We are better than Galatasary and should, on paper, win. Ramsey is a loss purely because of squad depth. If we are being honest, he has been pretty poor this season so i don’t think he’ll be massively missed actually playing. However, its obviously always nice to have a quality player like him available.
    Szczezny
    Bellerin Chambers Per Gibbs
    Flamini Wilshere
    Ox Γ–zil Sanchez
    Welbeck
This is how Id line up. Pace, strength and quality to finish chances. This would be far too much for Galatasary.

    1. sanchez for ox and podolski on the left wing and TR7 for wilshere. TR7 and poldi and offer a lot to this season but they need match fitness..

    2. Don’t blame Ramsey for Wenger playing him out of position again.
Ramsey has been involved in the build up to almost every goal we have scored this season.
Everyone appears to be on his back because he hasn’t been scoring yet but he has come close.
A bigger issue is how he is feeling at the moment, I have seen that look before as players tire of Wengers on field experiments and leaves the team in a position to lose. We saw it with RVP and others.
You have Flamini in the squad? Nooooo Diaby, he may break but he is 10 times the player Falmini is.

  2. Why we won’t get going with Galatasaray win = Wenger

We didn’t get going after Villa win
Arsene Wenger put Ozil in the middle for that game and then back on wing fir following game.
Lack of quality defenders. Wenger gets players from Academy

    1. Sport on mate.!
What is the essence of out academy? Then get players from there to fill in pending when those injured will come back.

Final note happy birthday OG12 ..get well soon man and comeback strong like never before.

  3. Maybe a run in the europa league is ehat arsenal need to get up and running, I know there is more chance of andre santos going on a diet than arsenal putting in a shift at stamford bridge but I do expect 3 points vs gala but wouldn’t mind entering a competiton we have a chance at winning in the form of the europa league

  4. Welbeck

    Ox Wilshere Walcott

    Crowley Cambers

    Gibbs Ayaji Hayden Jenkinson

    Vickers

This is a formidable squad in 3 years time…..

  5. Arsenal is getting better, the wins and goals are not yet there but game quality keeps improving the wins sure are coming. having played man city, everton, spuds and Chelsea this weekend, it will be a fairly smooth ride till Jan. If we build on last year’s momentum of thrashing the non top 4 teams, 2015 will find us in a good position. If Wenger then strengthens in Jan, well.. we could win the title πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    1. people here hate positivity.
      lemmi try being negative…

Arsenal is having worst performance ever πŸ™
We will loose all matches, be relegated then silent Stan will wire all money this account and we will be left in huge debts πŸ™ πŸ™
Then we will have to sell emirates stadium and have our home games at stamford bridge πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™
Then Mourinho and all chelsea fans will laugh at us forever and ever and ever and we will live sadly ever after πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™

  6. Because of fate I am looking forward to better football from Arsenal. When Wenger’s full squad returns then we will revert back to our boring selections. My only worry is some of these stars might have picked lots of rust in Arsenal’s backyard, and I am ready to forgive them if they happen to multifunction. Most of them have been denied genuine game time/motivation & a sense of belonging which would keep them on the edge (like other teams do). The game against Southampton exposed a lot of what our coaches don’t do behind the scenes.

  7. we need to get at them straight from the off !!
if there struggling for form and confidence we to attack and make it count
we dont want to dilly dally about and make them feel comfortable and like they can get a grip of the game .
kick the feck out of them make there heads drop and take the win !!!!!!!

  8. So happy to be back on here after many months away. Missed y’all a great deal.I think the match against Galatasaray is a great opportunity for Wenger to try other combination in the midfield.I’d prefer Coquelin starts at right back if Chambers will be moving in to the Central defence cos of Kos’ fitness uncertainty. I believe the Gooners will carry the day. COYG!

  9. Wenger ~ β€œI’d consider playing him in midfield but I don’t know about Wednesday [against Galatasaray] because I only have four defenders at the moment.”

I believe Wenger would like to try Chambers in midfield, however, the current injury crisis prevents him from doing so. Mind you, there’s no guarantee that he would do well in midfield though.

  10. im curious to see this roma side , heard alot about them.

not to mention gervinho apparently playing like
    christiano diego mara-messi

  11. arsene: ‘Walcott is joining in full training next week. It’s very good news.’ happiest news ever!!!

  12. Hi friends! Am new on here. The good news of the week is that TW14 and Serge Gnabry are gonna start full training by next week.
