Clear Greek Goal is perfect for Arsenal’s UCL hopes

When Arsenal travel to Athens in a couple of weeks to face the Greek champions Olympiacos in the final Champions League group game, the job of Arsene Wenger will be a pretty easy one, or at least when it comes to the tactics to send the players out with anyway.

There are no grey areas for the Gunners and nothing that happens in the other game between Bayern Munich and Zagreb will have any bearing on whether Arsenal qualify for the next phase or not. Arsenal simply have to attack and score goals. That is our clear goal for the game.

There are two ways of us getting through; winning the game by at least two goals or winning the game by one and scoring at least three. So it is all about getting goals and while we still have to be careful at the back, the players will be told to go forward from the start and that suits our game perfectly.

We saw against Dinamo Zagreb this week and have been seeing for most of the season that with the likes of Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the mood Arsenal can cut through defences like a hot knife through butter. Wenger should also be able to call on Theo Walcott and the Ox by then and Ramsey is already back.

We need to attack and the Greeks will surely try to hold what they have. Is that the perfect situation for Arsenal?
