Just how much tactical flexibility is required when in Timber,White and Mosquera we already have guys who can be used at RB/RCB?We need a top quality RCB to not only cover for Saliba during his injury but to challenge him for a starting place when he has recovered.Is Konsa of the required quality to compete with Saliba and to maintain the strength of our back four which was the basis of our winning the League last season, i very much doubt it.
Grandad, totally agree with you concerning the cover we have in defence. If we sign another CB what’s going to happen when Saliba is back ? Surely someone like Konsa won’t be happy.
Meanwhile Liverpool have just the one CB left standing, and he’s likely in bed on a travel web site.
It’s obvious where Konsa is going for £60M.
I can see White following Norgaard to Everton, and if Timber gets fit Timber fills Saliba’s vacant position up to Christmas and a new right back – hopefully not over rated Fresnada – playing right back., with Mosqy as cover for both. So I do expect transfer movement for right back.
If Timber is fit, he’ll do fine filling in for Sali. If not fit, Califori goes to Centre back., Gabriel probably step to the right.
I saw the rumour Romero to Arsenal. Even if it was due to urgent need to find replacement for the injured Saliba and for the choice of his compatriot Heinze a big big NO to Romero esp after his WC antics and his card fondness
