Why this loan transfer deal is GREAT news for Arsenal

This deal has not been officially announced yet and there could still be more developments on the future of the Arsenal and England right back Carl Jenkinson, but The Mirror are reporting that the details of a potential loan deal that would see the 23-year old playing in the Premier League for Sunderland next season.

But he would still be on the books with Arsenal because the potential move would only be a temporary loan move lasting for a single season. The report also claims that Arsene Wenger is keen to get the talented youngster, who is also a long time Gooner himself, to sign an extension to his current contract and that would be great news for Jenkinson and the club.

He has already come on in leaps and bounds after playing for another Premier League club in West Ham and I have a feeling that the Gunners would regret losing him simply because we already have good options for his position in the shape of Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Debuchy. The Frenchman is almost 30 and has had injury problems so who knows what the situation will be in a year?

The paper also says that West Ham and Southampton want Jenkinson, who is currently preparing to help England conquer Europe in the 2015 under 21 tournament, and I think that any of the three clubs would be a good move for him and for us. But will he ever be a regular for Arsenal?
