Wilshere’s Bournemouth stun Liverpool to keep Arsenal 2nd

For Arsenal fans it is not only our on loan midfield star Jack Wilshere that has many of us keeping an eye on the performances and results of AFC Bournemouth this season, as their young English manager Eddie Howe has been touted as one the potential candidates to take over from Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman finally decides to call it a day.

Many Gooners and people in the football media feel that the chances of Wenger stepping down at the end of the current season will be much bigger if the Frenchman can guide the Gunners to another Premier League title so if Howe is in the frame he did his chances of thr move no harm today, as his side did us a huge favour by beating Liverpool.

Klopp’s team were looking set for another easy win at 2-0 up but Wilshere and the Cherries showed great fight and no little style by coming back to 3-3 down with just injury time left. Even that would have been enough to see Arsenal stay second in the table, if only on goal difference, but the home team were not done and they stunned the scousers with a late winner.

That will have dented their confidence as well as halting their momentum and costing them valuable EPL points and that can only be good for Arsenal. Wilshere played well again and if he keps it up I can see him back at the Emirates next year. But has he just helped to ensure that he will be coming back to the champions of England?
