Would Arsenal or Jack Wilshere consider January transfer offer?

Jack Wilshere is claimed to be a priority signing for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, but would the player or Arsenal consider a winter offer?

The 26 year-old has been a huge talking point this season, with the midfielder tipped to be England’s creative spark for next summer’s World Cup in Russia, and with potential suitors also keenly monitoring his future due to his contractual situation.

Wilshere is into the final year of his contract, and is said to be trying to prove his fitness in order to earn a new one, The recent reports all point towards Arsenal wanting to keep their former youth product, and the midfielder seems adamant that he also wants to stay, but that hasn’t stopped clubs from eyeing a move.

Fenerbahce are claimed to have made signing a creative midfielder a priority this January, and are looking to make a move to sign Wilshere in the coming window. They would of course be able to enter into contract negotiations in January over a potential free transfer next summer, but a winter move is believed to be preferred.

From all I have watched and heard, both Wilshere and Wenger are keen on continuing to work together, and Jack certainly looks like he has a big role to play in our season if he can stay fit.

Unfortunately that is a big question mark following a number of setbacks in recent years, but Arsene Wenger is trying his best not to overuse the creative midfielder, and with any luck his extended time working into his key role will help him to stay fit through-out the campaign.

Is there any chance that Wilshere would quit the club in January? Would Jack consider an exit if no contract is on the table before the winter window?

  1. I rate Jack above Ozil at the moment. I would love to see him start for Arsenal in the premier league. It’s the only way to find out if he can remain fit.

      1. Whilst I agree that overall Ozil is a better player, I can only assume you have never had the stomach to watch Ozil on one of his worst days.

  2. At his current 90k per week an extension would probably mean him getting a bump upto 100-120k per week which is simply unacceptable for a player who cant stay fit for more than 5 games. Sell him off and try and recover the little we can out of the bags of cash we have spent on his hospital bills.

    1. What you say is completely true, I don’t think anyone could argue with Jacks ability and if he could of just kept injury free and fit I honestly believe we’d have seen one of the finest midfielders in our history. We could argue all day long about Wenger and if or not his training methods have made players more injury prone but sadly it is what it is and with a heavy heart we shouldn’t offer him a contract unless on much reduced terms, but yes Roachie if Jack was fit I’d put him in the team ahead of Ozil all day long.

  3. We should keep him… He is amazing talent… We should revert back flat 4 formation with 4-3-3 option where Xhaka, Ramsey and Wilshere will be our CM… One of the strongest midfield it could be as Xhaka will be deep line CM and Wilshere and Ramsey will be Orthodox Box To Box style…

    1. At 27 years, he is no more a talent, he is just an average player at his prime, with flashes of brilliance. Cant trust him to play even 60 minutes. As much as he is compared to Ozil in comments, they are 2 different players for 2 different positions. Jack is more like Ramsey and I would take Ramsey all day long. And I dont need a 90k cult hero doing nothing, only sit on bench. If we can replace jack with Besiktas’s Ozyakup, and not spend any money, just salary switch and same transfer fee, I am fine. I have seen Ozyakup play in person, he will be good.

  4. I believe
cech is as good as ederson
bellerin is as good as walker
    kos is better than otamendi
    mertesacker is better than stones
    kolasinac is better than delph
    fernandinho is better than coquelin
de bruyne is better than Ramsey
    Silva is better than xhaxa
    Sanchez is better than sane
    wilshere is better than sterling
    aguero is better than lacazette.

IMO we should have started with that squad and we would have given city a run for their money even if we may have been outclassed in midfield.
We could have even had a chance to win if Wenger had a sound footballing mind

  5. cech
    bellerin koscienly mertz kolasinac
    coquelin
    xhaxa Ramsey
    Sanchez lacazette wilshere
Would have made it more difficult for city.

  6. I’d love see macey in goal , right back debuchey next kos and holding , left back Monreal and in midfield maitland niles and jack and just in front Ramsey left wing kolasic good going forward and great tracking back and right wing Riess Nelson upfront lacasette now that would put size 16 up everyone ass or wingers can track back aswell as bomb forward in midfield niles can protect Ramsey and jack and in goal macey screaming for chance young keeper up true lower leagues has lot offer looks very good plus it give us something to build for future I’d drop Sanchez and ozil cause they should be out door I’d drop xhaka cause he’s been terrible and I’d put poor Monreal bk in he’s proper position we’re last season was excellent and Last but not least I’d play dubuchy instead bellerin who’s just been a joke plus dubuchy is actually better just needs games or I’d ring up Bac Sagna and bring him back for free cause bellerin is dog poor can’t cross can’t pass can’t take on anyone can’t get hair cut plus see him after City game looking at himself in mirror joke images Tony Adams doing that after City game he would put he’s fist true da mirror

  7. The matter is out of Arsenal’s hands now. Wenger is not playing Jack so it seems unlikely that even if he is offered a new contract he will want to stay to just sit on a bench.
For me I can’t see the very English Jack Wilshire playing abroad. If I was betting on it he will end up on a free to a mid-table EPL club.
