1st stage of Morata transfer to Arsenal CONFIRMED

With Arsenal’s hopes of the Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy accepting the offer to become a Gunner this summer looking increasingly forlorn, you would think that the priority for Arsene Wenger now in the transfer market was to find anopther forward that he thinks will give Arsenal what we need to win the Premier League next season.

Many people think that player could be Alvaro Morata and the Juventus and Spain star has certainly been featuring in a growing number of Arsenal transfer rumours in recent weeks, but it is a complicated and convuluted situation involving buy back clauses and other clubs that are also being linked with the 23-year old.

One of these clubs is our Premier League and London rival Chelsea, whose new manager Antonio Conte was previously the manager of Morata’s Serie A club. However, their time in Turin did not coincide as Conte left to become manager of Italy four days before Morata was signed, so I would not say that Chelsea have any advantage over us there. And the fact that Arsenal are in the Champions League while our rivals are not even in the Europa League is surely a big point in our favour.

We should soon see though, as the Evening Standard are reporting that Juventus have confirmed that Real Madrid are buying their former player back and that the deal will be done and dusted within days.

After that it is expected that Madrid will immediately listen to offers for the Spaniard, so will Arsenal be the ones to complete the second stage of this complicated transfer?
