Has another Arsenal star suffered a major setback?

Arsenal fans are more than used to seeing our injured stars taking ten times longer to recover than their predicted return dates, especially with Jack Wilshere who has been projected to return every month since Christmas, but the Gunners were certainly expecting our injury list to be reduced after this international break. Arsene Wenger clearly stated before the Everton match: “The players who will definitely be back from injury [after the international break] will be Ramsey, Cech and maybe Flamini.”

With Cazorla, Wilshere, the Ox and Rosicky all included in our list, the return of Ramsey would have been a helpful addition in our crucial run in, but now, according to Aaron’s national team coach Chris Coleman, we may be lucky to see Ramsey back in action at all this season. Coleman said yesterday when asked about the midfielders participation in the Euros this summer: “I am hoping he is going to get a couple of games in with Arsenal but who knows?”

“It could be one of things that is prolonged and he doesn’t make recovery everyone expects.

“But if there’s half a chance he is going to start the tournament then he is coming.”

Surely Coleman would have had the Arsenal man assessed by his own people before these international friendlies, so does he know something that Wenger doesn’t? Or are the fans just being kept in the dark as usual?
